What singled this young man out?
I believe I read that he was over there spouting off about Thomas Jefferson and the NK watchdogs heard about this wonderful American revolutionary and promptly arrested him for subversion of govt.

The tour agency looks to be based in Xian, not Beijing, if that makes any difference. Were there other westerners in this group? What singled this young man out? Was he approached by someone, either for help or as a setup? When the North Koreans want something they are not loathe to create their own bargaining chips. But then again who is this guy? Did he attempt to head out somewhere verboten, innocently or not so? More information is needed to know if he's in deep do-do or not. I hope he gets home soon whatever.

The barn is closed up, and I am in my horsecoat. The farmer brought a new layer of hay for the stall. It is comfortable.

The cows won't shut up. The farmer is keeping them inside. So begins the weekend of my discontent. There will be little snow to enjoy.

Update: Still no snow in Christiansburg just this mornings. The kids have been sledding in the stormwater dry pond since about 7 am. I haven't seen a plow yet.
The dog has discovered running next to the fence there is less now and her spot under the deck also is pretty clear. She runs around like mad, try's to discover who is getting her butt cold when she squats, rolls in the snow then comes in to lie in front of the woodstove.

I remember riding around in my Eagle Premier with snow tires laughing at all the 4WD in the snow banks. Then heard a radio report that if you didn't have chains or a 4WD you shouldn't be on the road. I put in a tape.
Isn't FUMA usually subsidized in some way by the school that the kid plans on attending after prepping? I thought that is why most players verbal somewhere with the understanding that they will prep and attend said college the following year.
