She has been quite the party flavor (intentional) which is why I have a lot of scars. I am Gladiator! Tee hee
Quick first step and a heavy shoulder. He could be a real contributor in a couple of years.
Chase Williams wasn't great until his Senior year so it certainly isn't out of the question. AM certainly got better as the season progressed and Galen Scott is supposed to be a good linebacker coach, hopefully having a dedicated position coach will help with developing talent
I agree.
I'm more in favor of general degrees (potentially with specializations in areas of interest) than highly specialized degree titles.
For public policy, it doesn't so much matter what your degree is in, as your education is simply providing you with some research, writing, and thinking skills in addition to some specialized courses in your area of interest.
Highly technical areas (engineering and science) are different.
Yeah I am interested to see how he projects in the draft after next season. He doesn't have the size/speed necessarily that land guys in the 1st or 2nd round. That said, he does run great routes, has great body control, and just has that it factor. If he gets a fair shot at the NFL, I believe he is the kind of guy who sticks around for a long time.
edit: I could be misjudging his speed, sometimes guys run differently and speed is deceptive. And 6'2 with a little more muscle would give him a more NFL frame. Right now, he is identical in height and weight to me haha.
Great write up. Thanks. Looking fwd to FUENTE EN FUEGO!
Unless he had that "come to Jesus", D'Angelo leaving was more a plus than a negative on the 04' team; which is probably my favorite VT team of the Beamer era. I think KJ staying for his senior might have helped us win another game and the dropped TD by Jesse Allen could've won us that Sugar Bowl...so yeah a national title might not have been out of the question. Regardless, that was still an awesome year!
Pierson does not have a vagina! You guys stop it already. I really appreciate you following your wife's advice. I always get the sad feels after the last Hokie game of the season. You should have seen me before you tube! Fully dipped at best!
>sighs< [annoyingly] That's "THERAPIST" Mr. Connery.
I really would have liked to have seen what J Payton would have brought to the table if he had gotten into Tech.
If Ford surpasses Antonio Freeman's TD record (needs 6), Boykin's receptions (needs 54), and Boykin's yardage (needs 1012), then I'll say that he will be our GOAT. I believe he will get the TDs & receptions but that's a lot of yardage for one year if Fuente's offense cuts his numbers down. If he stays for 2017 then there's no doubt.
Recognizing players with no helmet and no shirt is impressive!
Not hatin' just sayin' lol
Thanks to all
He's not that good. There. I said it.
He was a better DB this year at Dematha. Saw several games last two years. They are loaded with talent but he still does not get targeted that often. They have other studs - I get it - but he is living on camp success in my opinion.
He is a great athlete obviously but I think we are covered at wr. Not sour grapes - just my opinion.
I love his intensity in that interview.
Think of the Craig James deal and his kid wasn't even competitive at the D1 level. I kind of appreciate Patterson's no bs response.
What's the over/under on that one?
Actually, no, I don't care. I'll take the over.
I'm not sure their D could stop UNC either way.. then again i've always viewed Baylor as one of those teams that wins solely because their offense scores on most drives. It seems (to me) like once the defense can figure out how to stop their offense, Baylor is sort of SOL.
Sure. I'm right there with you.
How?
I arrived on campus in Fall of 1992, just in time to witness one bad season before the bowl streak. What a crazy ride as a fan. I always was afraid of this day, but thanks to the savvy our amazing AD and class of our legendary coach it went nothing like I feared.
Thanks Whit, Coach Beamer, and welcome Coach Fuente!!
I am really hoping French gives us a thorough review of Tremaine's play in the bowl game....please....
Travon is on left side - without jersey
I definitely don't think it's the case that TCU was routinely bringing in better talent than Isaiah. Remember, TCU was in the Mountain West for all but Fuente's last season there. TCU was basically the Memphis of its day during Fuente's tenure there.
I agree, though, it might be a situation where there were more options, so the ball got spread around more. Still, I don't think Ford gets 75 receptions next season. I think low to mid 60s is a safe bet. Whether he gets another 1,000 yard season will depend on what he does with the targets he gets.
Might explain why he didn't play in the bowl game.

His kid may not have been great, but he didn't deserve to be closed in a telecommunications closet.
