gotcha, that was at TTU though. Was hoping for some direct insight into her expected duties @VT going forward. With that background I'd say it's a safe bet that even if she's not actively involved in managing recruiting, she's going to contribute to a culture shift that leads to improvement in our recruiting & scouting operations.
Also, I don't see her being out of football / athletics for a season being a positive.
Oh yea, I expect so. I just remember how many times VT has been the USF in this situation. The DE out of SC that went to UGA....Barrett?....comes to mind.
Get on it! Need some help at OL.
What about the JUCO OL from Mississippi? Any update on him?
That was happening quite a bit the whole season. I think by the UNCheat game, it reached a head. What the heck was Ron Cherry doing raising his arm calling a penalty on us when Dadi was saying, rather animatedly, enough was e-frickin-nough?

#1!!!
It wasn't a concussion so no one in football cares.
He didn't appear to have many great offers though besides USF. (Indiana, GA Southern, Western Kentucky etc.) Could be a chance he decommits given that Tech is a step up from USF and those other schools.
The ACC just got FOR REAL.
That's what winning will do for you! Not gonna win those battles unless you're winning and relevant in the national scene.
I am optimistic that Fuente gets us back there. It doesn't have to take long - Clemson's only been winning consistently for five years or so and relevant to the national discussion in three of those.
McClease yes, Reid.. maybe.
Badgers lost to Milwaukee earlier this year, I wouldn't even put Us/them in the same breath as michigan and Indiana. There is a ton of talent but its a very young team. I think this job becomes available for Bennett at the end of the year and I think its going to be a very tough one for him to turn down
What's the scoop on McClease and DJ Reid? Is either expected to become a contributor?
BTTF 3
The Coastal will be tough, but I would worry about Miami and Pitt, in addition to UNC. Comparatively to VT:
UNC has the same level of talent, good O and D coaches, but replace a 2+ year (really 4-year) starter at QB.
Pitt has less talent, but a really good D coach, returning their QB, and 2-straight wins over VT. It appears Pitt is improving as a team, at least on the D side.
Miami has better talent, hired a HC with the most impressive resume, returns a talented QB, convincingly beat VT the past 2 years, but Miami has not made any more hires on their coaching staff. More than likely, Richt will put together a top-notch staff, despite not being able hire Pruitt. (Randy Shannon is a strong candidate to return.)
Duke and GT are also solid teams.
Yeah, pretty common like Fireman said. It can be tough to fit the announcement in 140 characters.

Twitter has a character limit so this way they can tweet it. I assume that is the reasoning.
What's our JUCO situation? I thought we were limited to like 3 per 2 year period across all sports? I thought we were also limited to those who were partial qualifiers out of high school, no non-qualifiers out of high school. Presumably we have only admitted those who meet our criteria.
...will be the last day of the countdown.
I've seen that a lot from recruits
Tomorrow.....
For that you get a leg from me and also a suggestion to go see your doctor soon.
Gard is going to have to deliver big to be kept on by Alvarez in my opinion. I think Ryan hurt Gard in that matter because his squad this year is missing quite a few pieces compared to years past. I think anything less than a top 3 finish in the BIG10 will lead to Alvarez going after Bennett first and if he cant get Bennett than whomever is next highest on his list. The tough part for Gard is that this season is the best Purdue has been in quite some time, Michigan State is as good as ever, Maryland is a title contender, and even Northwestern is solid. I would put Wisconsin right in the middle with teams like Indiana, Nebraska, Michigan and Iowa. Considering Wisconsin already has five losses in their OOC slate, its not a good omen going into that conference schedule. There are some especially glaring losses as well. specifically to Western Illinois and Milwaukee. Losses to Oklahoma, Marquette, and Georgetown dont look quite as terrible.

As I noted above, her career trajectory is pretty amazing. She is exactly what we need to revamp our approach to recruiting and the overall operations of the football team.
