Sure, here's why I think so:
He is an alum DB from UGA (we've seen this before). This doesn't necessarily mean he's going to be great, but I think a coach who goes back to the school he loves will bend over backward to do whatever is necessary to succeed there.
He's coached under a few of the best: Richt, Bowden, and Saban. Of the three, Saban is likely the best, and Smart has been a coordinator for him for seven years. He's seen how Saban's system is build and how it operates, and with his skill as a coordinator, I think he'll be able to revamp and/or modernize UGA's program up to Saban's standards. This is the critical reason I think he'll be successful.
Wow. Seems like he's got a terrific head on his shoulders. Everyone associated with him should be proud. I wish there were more like him. He's a rare breed.

Many people have been saying about how Conner is everything that is good in college football. Really, I feel bad for cancer in this situation. I mean, seriously, why would you pick a fight with this guy?
I agree, just watching some of the film it appears that he is slow.

Conner has amazing perspective on life. I wish I handled adversity half as well as this. Thoughts are with him and hope to see him line it up against Virginia Tech, or in the NFL, again.

Mr. Mason is indeed correct. By the middle of the season, the Jackets were down to grabbing kids off the street for the A-back position.
Plus that offensive line is going to be real good in a year or two. (So is Boston College's, for that matter.)
