I'd kill for that job...
I guess, more-so than the fact Georgia is his alma mater, if he's successful enough at Georgia to be considered at Bama that means he's done something. I think at that point Bama and Georgia would be equivalents and I just don't see why he would leave UGA under those circumstances. The closest he'd come would be interviewing to leverage a pay raise at UGA but I think Georgia has the resources to compete with Bama in just about every way.
Ah, you're right. My bad. Should've fact checked, but was in a bit of a hurry.
I don't know that he's fast enough to be playing at the FBS level. I think he's more of a DII guy.
If he treats cancer like he treated VT's defense, he should be due for a speedy recovery

the last one reads a little questionable and what Jesuit's do with toast
All I keep asking myself about McNeill getting fired
Good thing your not an AD and you don't speak for me or most people on this board and who cares wether you like it......LOL. Bud is a big boy and WB was fair and up front with him. He had the right and chance to leave if he wanted. Low and behold, he chose to stay. Maybe you don't like that either...
I have a few email addresses down for French. I'm sure one of them has to be his:
iluvcurtnewsome@aol.com
morecheezpleez@hotmail.com
jesuitshatetoast@gmail.com
Penn State's THON raised over $13m last year to battle childhood cancer - incredible!
Us Hokies do awesome work too with Relay!
Just sent it to Guerry and I don't have access on twitter or French's email to send it to him at the moment.
UNC - Larry Fedora
Pitt - Pat Narduzzi
Miami - Mark Richt
Duke - David Cutcliffe
VT - Justin Fuente
UVa - ???
GT - Paul Johnson
I know three question marks that are very interested in the ECU job!
I would send French his tape also Thomas Guerry at VT does the high school stuff now.
as a former high school player I approve
I really hope he beats this. I'm glad the cure rate is high, but it's still a tough ordeal. I remember Flip Saunders had Hodgkin's lymphona. I was hoping for the best for him, but I sort of assumed he would beat it because the cure rate is so high and no one had any doubts that he'd be ok. And then when he passed away, it was tough for everyone to believe it.
It would be interesting to look into the weight Alma Mater plays on coaching jobs...
Just thinking off the top of my head, Beamer, Harbaugh, Shaw, Smart now, Richt now....

See, I feel the opposite - I want UVA to be a flaming dumpster fire where no athlete would reasonably ever want to go. I want apathy and expectations of losing to set in, because it dramatically helps VT achieve. I want schools like Miami to achieve what you listed above.
It was Herzlich, but he had Ewing's Sarcoma, which is a rarer form of bone cancer. If caught early, like his was, then it's relatively survivable.
On that MIT note:
Many people I work with are Navy nukes. Several institutions offer us a bevy of credit towards a fairly "associates" sounding bachelor "technology" degree, which is great but typically not something you brag about to a room half full of people with the same degree.
Years ago, one of our most pompous asses was introducing himself to the class and announced that he had attended the "prestigious Renssalear Polytechnic Institute; also known as RPI".
One of our borderline-Asperger's core hydraulic engineers was next, quickly said "Hi, I'm Paul, I attended MIT, also known as... MIT", and sat back down.
Apparently, pants were peed.
Terrible news. But I still plan on watching him play in the NFL for a very long time. Get well soon!
That's what the linebacker out of BC (Mark Herzlich, I think?) had a few years ago, isn't it? I only ask, because he kicked that cancer's ass and is still in the NFL. Hopefully Conner can do the same. Best of luck to him.

Wow, are they delusional.... I thought Rutgers fans were delusional, but I now nominate the ECU Athletic Department for that post. Just un-f@#kin' believable....
