He knows how to win the young assistants, anyway.

Apparently, that's how it's done in Arkansas, as demonstrated by other powerful people who got their career starts there.

Temple at Houston -6.5: Time for Herman to earn that big raise
Alabama -16.5 vs Florida: If el Tractorcito gets going, this spread could be eclipsed in the 1st quarter.
Stanford -4.5 vs USC: Who knows what to expect from either team? The points sound like a safe bet.
Clemson -5.5 vs North Carolina: UNC will keep it close for 3 qtrs, but I don't see them keeping this one within 7 by the end.
Iowa vs Michigan State -3.5: Sparty looks pretty strong right now, and I still can't figure out how Iowa got to 12-0.

That's ironic because London is also a very religious guy. He started the Fellowship for Christian Athletes chapter at UVA and the football chaplain hosts a lot of Bible studies and spiritual events for the players.

He was never able to stop a large contingent of VT fans from gathering every other year in Charlottesville to watch the annual Commonwealth Cup event. He was much better at controlling the UVa fans' participation.

Really good write up on Shane. I like him and would hate to lose him, but I wouldn't be upset at all to see him get his chance as a HC. I think that he would be successful.

Charlie Weiss seems to have figured out how to execute this plan.

So, should we expect that Galen Scott might come over from Memphis to complete the defensive staff? He was with Fuente at Illinois State but actually got to Memphis two years before Fuente did. He's DC now, but has only been DC for a year (and it didn't go well) and may be willing to take the demotion to be in a more stable situation.

Or he might stay on at Memphis is Odom is hired.
