He's probably their backup plan. Fedora makes too much sense for them right now. I still think there is a chance that USC'e ends up with Bobby Petrino. He knows how to win in the SEC and USC needs to take a risk. That would open up Brohm to L'ville. I'm surprised Brohm isn't getting more play, powerful offense and he's got WKU in the the top 25.

Never have I seen a stadium so ready to boo its own team.

Lane has been pretty close to booing our own team these past couple of years. There's been a bit of memory loss thanks to Beamer retiring with class. I was genuinely ashamed of how close that pot got to boiling over during some of the uglier losses like that Miami game that never happened on a Thursday night.

The national outcry when UGA fired Richt is probably a pretty good sign that smart football people disagree with you.

personally, I thought it was time for UGA to fire Richt, but that isn't representative of my opinion on Richt. I believe coaches should be moved on more often than not (LSU made a mistake by not firing Miles). But Richt is a good coach and will make someone much better. At UVA or Miami, Richt makes them a contender for our division immediately (maybe takes a year for UVA).

Spot on analysis.

LeDay needs to figure out how to score vs. bigger players. The stuff that worked against 6'6"- 6'7" guys won't work now. I like Pierce and Blackshear better in the low post.
Just did not value the possessions late in the reg and OT like we did vs UAB. Need to get a better shot than an out of control dribble drive by Clarke or Allen . Really need Bibbs to be the guys in these situations.
Frustrating to see the great D effort in the 2nd half and think of what they allowed in the first half (58% from the field)
I really liked the rotation Buzz used with the more experienced players. These are the guys who have been through the wars. Need to get Hudson involved, because he started to play like TYRONE last night.

I kind of agree with Buck over a random WR3. I'd rather have another deep threat "burn the corner" WR out there, but of course we don't have one currently.

Whit is absolutely AD of the year. He also hired Buzz Williams who's doing a great job with a young team . Then bringing in Fuente to replace legendary coach Beamer . Those two hires have the making of legends themselves in the future.

That sure was close, mostly because Allen had a monster game.

I does give hope, but VT needs to win these close games.

EDIT: But I would be remiss if I didn't mention the improvement I've noticed over several games. This team is getting better.

I believe there was a committee involved in the search for and eventual hire of Whit. I also believe Kevin Jones was on that committee but I'm unsure who else may have been a part of that.

I would be incredibly surprised if USCe picked him up as HC. Not to knock on Shane specifically, but just in general, how often do you see a program in the top half of a P5 conference hire a position coach from outside the program? (that last caveat because people always bring up Dabo, who had a 6 game tryout as interim head coach)
