Nice! Its like someone knew this conversation was gonna come up.
still holding out hope that this is a typo and they meant to say "Mike London re-signs..."
I believe Joey had it right.

^spot on. Joe makes a valid point but I guess at the end of the day, you have to wonder who becomes more "important" with those messages. I think social media is an incredible tool to engage a fan base but a majority of who will truly interact with these types of accounts are going to be in the <35 age range
Fuente received a six-year contract that will pay him $500,000 in base salary annually, along with supplemental compensation that will increase from $2.7 million to $3.15 million during the span of the deal.
According to Bitter, that 2.7 number is Frank's current deal. Fuente will start at $3.15M and then increase to $3.65M over the course of the deal.
I can't read apparently.
Also, I move that we make #Justintime a thing.
I almost burst out laughing at work at the speed sweep comment
So you could say that, other than fishing, O-line play is French's vice.

# | Report: Memphis Assistants Holman Wiggins and James Shibest to Join Justin Fuente at Virginia Tech So what happens to Shane?
Coming out of Richmond, I liked him. I was pissed when UVA got him.
But watching him the last six years....well, the Timecop bit wasn't really that much of a joke. I really started to doubt his skills as a coach. That said, I think he's a good person, and wouldn't mind seeing him succeed somewhere else. I just wouldn't hire him as a head coach.
Oh, this press conference

If I were a top high school player now, Virginia Tech would be looking very, very attractive. A kid will have a chance to play for one of the nation's best minds on defense or offense. He'll have a chance to get a solid education and prepare himself well for life. As well, he'll become part of a FANtastic community that will make those (three), four, or five years fun and memorable.
Come enter with Sandman.
Go Hokies!
maybe it's supposed to be "awfully?"
Wait a second, "oftley?" Is that a real word?
"Tough luck, man. You can't win 'em all. Actually, in your case, you can't win any of them."
I think he'd only get that pay if he was fired. I assume he will take his Special Assistant to the AD role at $800,000/year.
EDIT: It's 250k/year I'm an idiot laugh at me and mock me.
Whoops I don't know where I pulled $800,000 from.
I'd much rather have UVA be at least fairly good,
even if it meant us losing to them once a decade...
"To be around, to see, watch the kids interact and get a chance, quite honestly, not be in charge of it but be able to sit back and just observe and watch. I think it's a huge advantage. I really do. I'm excited about it."
This, and Whit's intro statements about the transition period. Well done, Sir Babcock, Well done....
They think there's a chance they go after Rhett Lashlee after Auburn's year? Seriously? I think he'll make a great HC someday, but the dude is barely 30 and has been a D-1 OC for a total of 4 years. No way he's leaving Malzhan right now.
The rest of the list is absurd. Chad Morris won't go to UVA. I could see Matt Rhule, but I think someone else picks him up (Mizzou maybe?). Tom Herman won't go to UVA when he would be a top candidate juuuuuust about anywhere.
The list just seemed to throw a bunch of BS at the wall. One interesting name is PJ Fleck though.
People are clever.
And one of those was unsportsmanlike celebration of the interception by Clarke to seal the win

VT spokesman says #Hokies asking NCAA for dispensation to allow existing coaches to coach and new coaches on staff to recruit.— Andy Bitter (@AndyBitterVT) November 30, 2015
This sounds like a fairly ordinary request when there's a coaching change like this with existing staff sticking around for a bowl game.— Andy Bitter (@AndyBitterVT) November 30, 2015
These are my thoughts exactly and I wish I could give more than one leg.
It seems like right off the bat during the conference he seemed right at home. Everything he said made it seem like this is where he wanted to be and that it wasn't just the best option at the time. He's aware of the importance of recruiting, and personally I think the combination of him and Foster will make for a killer squad in time.
The more I read and think about it, the more I am very impressed and excited about this hire. He seems like a great guy who will fit into the VT community very well.

Meanwhile, at UVA...
