After another winless year against VT, I will pray Mike London gets another contract extension.

God I hate UVA. They can take their smug attitudes and their completely undeserved sense of superiority and shove it. I hope their mediocrity in football goes on for eternity, I will NEVER get tired of it.
What? Oh this is a hatin' on thread? UVA calls themselves a "public Ivy" because they suck too much in sports and want to justify their lack of success, but they're too dumb to actually compare themselves to ivy league schools.

Exactly....and it's not like Bud hasn't interviewed for other HC'ing jobs before. He has and just hasn't gotten them. He didn't want to make a lateral move which is understandable so he has stayed. He has stated that he doesn't want to take a lower teir program as well, where he would have probably been hired away to already if he did. That being the case I think the "loyalty" card is a bit overplayed with Bud. I love the guy and he's a great DC but I don't think he "deserves" the job because he has been here for so long. He has been here for so long because he hasn't gotten any of the HC jobs he has interviewed for. All that said, I do hope he stays and don't think any new HC wouldn't offer him a job. I mean that would seem to be a dumb move to not retain a guy who is by and large regarded as one of the best DC's in the country for someone who is not. I think if Bud leaves it's because he doesn't want to work under the new coach, not because the new coach didn't offer him to stay on as the DC.

How about that synchronized swimming championship that the football team won last year?!

You mean water ballet, because it looks like they are drowning. They aren't coordinated enough to be deemed "ballet" in the traditional sense.

Oh, you meant this. Ok. Gotcha.

looks like the ballet

And that's their product on the field, too.

Well, aside from Ried's last year, they were definitely a winning team (and that year, they were wracked with o-line injuries, as I recall). Maybe they were only a machine from Washington's perspective (we're some sort of a perpetual failure machine), but I guess I meant that Chip took over a team that was pretty solid top-to-bottom.

Their records prior to Chip Kelly's arrival:

2006 - 10-6
2007 - 8-8
2008 - 9-6-1 (I think McNabb didn't know you could tie - haha)
2009 - 11-5
2010 - 10-6
2011 - 8-8
2012 - 4-12

It wasn't like that team winning 10 games was exactly unprecedented, or that it needed to be blown up.

Looks like a lot of travon mcmillian this weekend. I hope he gets his first 200 yd game. His success sets up for Ford to break the record of TDs in a season by a VT receiver (if I'm correct in that, he's tied right??). And lastly hopefully Ken and Dadi have a repeat of the sack fest they had last year.

Brace yourselves.....Dadi and Ken are coming....
