Why is there not a web series: "Kickin' It with Cody Journell" where he interviews current and former athletes who have done stupid things? I'd download the podcast.
It's certainly possible, might even be the most likely outcome for him. Over the past few years though, he has been very careful not to say anything that would make him seem hypocritical if he were to leave at the end of the year. I get the impression he wants to build that program, but has been open to a possible step up. Also, while Memphis might be on the radar of the Big 12, that doesn't mean it automatically happens, it's still a toss-up and not looking for power-5 jobs would be a pretty big risk to take.

I always see this stat but have never actually seen the data. Mad props if someone can just list them off the top of your head because I am stuck at 12.

Who should we hire that will get to us to top 10 recruiting classes? This chart just shows that fertile recruiting ground and the national powers continually generate top 10 recruiting classes.

Wake Forest and Kansas have made BCS games, and now that pool is further diluted by making it easier for the Group of 6 to make it. There's a really big step that needs to be made to go from getting into one of those games, and legitimately playing for a National Title. Beamer had accomplished that step at VT, and saw what a springboard that would be. Fuente is on a course to go where Wake and Kansas have gone before.
I don't know. Peppy Hare seems less likely. He's always too busy getting shot down and telling people to "do a barrel roll."

This is the kind of win that the Hokie season needs, and a win that the players and Frank Beamer deserve.
The guy from Alabama State missed 2 free throws when they were up by 3 with 10 seconds left to play. His misses are not remembered as we missed the 3 ptr to send the game into OT.
I think that a lot of teams struggle from the line. We seem to be consistent in our success rate while other teams seem to be more hot or cold.
The key may be getting the right guys to the line but historically, the shot attempts in the pain have been our bigs and it is good to see everyone attacking the rim this season. Maybe we will have some guys with a little more touch shooting FTs this year.
Just my observation over the years.
I don't understand your point. Are you saying that as soon as Bud is handed the keys he's going to fire everyone he doesn't like? I don't see how, if Bud is announced as next coach, that would have any adverse effects on the locker room. Why can't they still say that they're in it together? What is it about Bud that would create a divide in the locker room?

I think you misinterpreted what I said. I said that I expect him to leave if a coordinator like Kirby Smart is hired. I think that it is more likely he stays if Morris, Herman, or Fuente is hired compared to Smart or any other coordinator. I think in the end he stays, because I expect we will hire a current HC and not a coordinator.
