Can we please not already start to talk about our QB controversy next year?

Moto's play has me very, very worried about Georgia Tech. Here at TKP, we all have a thorough understanding of how much the play of our Mike can be the difference between a dominating performance against the run and a 300+ yard debacle (Thanks French). Jack Tyler and Chase Williams played GT exceptionally the past few years but Moto is light years from their block shedding, play recognition, and positioning.
(2) yards per completion
this may need to be revisited. Theoretically, we could throw the ball 17 times but only connect on two passes, one of which could be a busted coverage resulting in a long TD so your avg yards per completion could look really good even though you failed to complete almost 90% of your passes
Any chance the "weird bear alignment," was to cover up Motu's weakness in gap-filling and attacking...giving him a chance to scrape and contain? Seems like those are his two biggest weaknesses, maybe Bud's scheming to cover up one of them with the Dline?
Yep.
AND.....I've got to think that spending time next to Coach Lefty in the booth will pay off when Brewer gets back on the field.
Can we please not already start to talk about our QB controversy next year? Lol. I just can't take it. Arguing about it now is enough for me.
Whats up with that? Every game I watch they are pulling something like this- past couple years had me half rooting for UVA when I watched them play... ok not really.
He was ballin' out in that shirt.
Those throws over the middle are crucial. With us using two TEs a lot, we have to be able to work the middle of the field to open up the boundaries for Ford and Phillips. We were successful doing that against aOSU before Brewer got hurt.
Need the greyed out version to fill in for the rest so that every image is out of five. ;)
Can't agree more about the red zone offense. We have been so shaky with that ever since Ryan Williams left. Great to see us be able to Stick it in, stick it in, stick it in. (Still wish he could get that chant back)
Well, he's not blowing up my facebook or twitter feeds. So, I know the HokieBird didn't switch to Crossfit.
Can also confirm this.
I'm reserving my opinions on GT this year until after the Notre Dame game. Their first two games aren't the best sample, even though they dropped 60+ on both opponents. But the first game was "who gives a damn university" and the second was Tulane, who hardly put up a fight against Duke, and seems to be unable to get out of their own way.
If we're still seeing them outscore people by 50+ points every week in a month, then I'll be worried.
On the Bear Front Alignment, per Kevin's Post-Game Notebook...
"(Furman) had quarterback counter and we were in a coverage where we should have had a free hitter right there and a couple times we lined up on the wrong side, which it baffles me why we did that," Foster explained. "But we'll get those corrected."
Enjoyed your write up as always!
Thankfully, he's no Donny. Get this kid the ball.

That offended weaker people in the crowd so it was axed.
Disregard that totally missed the first sentence.
I have to ask the same question what ever happened to Hokie Bird doing the bench press after touchdowns?
Did anyone else realize that his passing touchdown was the 757 representing? Harvin went to Landstown High in Virginia Beach.
All I can think of is "The 12 Days of Christmas," where this would be the always-bellowed line "FIVE SAD HOO FANS."
Brewer getting hurt had me at about seven sad UVA fans (SUFs for short).
I can't imagine I will ever say "I can't believe they stole our Russell Athletic Bowl Bid" and really care. Our bowl lineup includes about 6 bowls that are all about the same. If you aren't going to the Peach, it doesn't matter that much.

re: Durkin
I think he's got potential to be a really good fullback and replace Sam Rogers after he graduates. We obviously don't know about his recieving abilities, as he's currently on the other end of the throws, but he looks to have all the other tools needed to flourish in that role.
