Yeah, but Ford was so wide open, I would have been more pissed if he didn't throw that, even as late as it was. Not saying he should make a habit out of that, but when a guy is all alone like that, throw him the ball. It was a heck of a throw too.

Agreed. SL knew exactly what he was doing - and watching the game I had that exact sense. Whereas there have been other games where I was sure we'd never score.

no WR (other than the one who dropped it) would say that was a 50/50 - replay shows he whiffed it
Receivers will drop balls. It happens. A scheme should overcome occasional individual player breakdowns. And Lefty's did, until Brewer went out.

I'm expecting the defense to come out like their heads are on fire. They almost definitely feel embarrassed and will be out to prove that their performance on Monday night will only be a one time thing.
I think it's too early to say. Travon MAY be that good, but I didn't see lightning in the game from him. JCC and Trey hit the holes well and had some nice gains. JCC looked more like end-of-the-year JC than early 2014. Trey runs too high but exhibited power and meanness, and is the biggest shoulder in pass pro. Travon doesn't strike me as a pass pro beast. It will all sort out.
the bucky drop was tough, ball was behind him but he also should have caught it.. 50/50
Bucky had a HUGE 3rd down drop that bounced off his hands. Yes a little behind, but a BAD drop nonetheless that no has really mentioned. We needed to be perfect to beat those guys.

For at least this game, I would say yes to playing all three 'just because'. If Motley does light it up to start, who's to say that either DL2 or Durk wouldn't do the same? So yeah I would guess for at least this game, all 3 play and then evaluate the film and pick your guy. Next week at Purdue it should definitely only be one guy.

This team can come together, simplify, and overpower/drive through some teams this year. Run behind Teller - guy is a pancake machine.
SL had a brilliant game plan - who called those throws across the field to the weak side? SL - > he was prepared, and stood toe to toe till MB went down.
Lefty has done a stellar job at QB recruiting, and that has bled over into WR recruiting, just not enough.
That improvement needs to continue. Don't know how to explain this year's recruiting class. Seems to be going the wrong way when you're losing recruits to Maryland.

Except he was going against their backups and it was a poor decision to throw late over the middle.
Yeah, it won't be as pretty as it would have likely been with Brewer in the game (seriously, against just about anyone other than that defense, our O rolls that game), but we'll get it done. Having such a short week is the absolute best thing for everyone not in the QB room. They're out, practicing and putting the OSU game behind them already. This isn't like 2010 where they got home super late, were basically hung over and upset for 2 days, half-assed a practice or two and then tried to show up and win. Completely different team, completely different situation. Add in that Furman doesn't have anywhere near the horses to compete up front, and this one should be comfortable if not the most impressive of victories.

Just looking at the stats from the game to find they were 3 of 9. Which basically means they just did their damage on first and second down, but when we had a chance to get them to 3rd down, we did pretty well.

It didn't seem like either of them were even giving much thought to forcing the pitch at all.

Not really sure where you're going with that. We have three QBs behind Brewer. One is a senior who has some upside in a zone-read-based offense. We have a r-FR who will probably be a career wildcat QB, and then a true frosh with all the upside in the world. So yes, we have depth, we lack experience, and we have potential.
