I highly doubt that it really effects Bud's chances anywhere down the line. I'm fairly certain other coaches have said and DONE worse things and are still coaching. Besides, he didn't SAY anything.
I've heard of a certain coach who broke the rules in college football and left to go to he NFL before he could be punished. I've heard of a coach who blatantly cheated who's still head coach in the NFL. I've heard of coaches lying to their teams and their schools saying they'd stick around only to be on a plane the next day to a new place that paid more. I feel like anything short of covering up sex crimes gets a pass if you know how to coach/play. It won't blow over immediately, but it will blow over, and it won't hurt Bud's chances anywhere.
It's normal for the home school to provide an area for the opposing fans. Went to the Marshall at ODU game a last year and the Big Green club had a buffet meet and greet in one of the large meeting rooms in the student center.
Edit: Just remembered that Maryland "rented out" Cole Field House to the OSU alumni association last year for their game. At least we aren't renting out Cassell to them!
Doesn't look good but I think it will blow over. The media overreacts and I'm sure the coaches are telling the recruits it's been way overblown.
People forget that Harbaugh trashed Michigan's football academics about 5 years ago and look at him now.
This was a just a poor thing to bring up that will never ever happen. I think he'll be fine.
I simulated the games on NCAA 2016 and .... oh yea never mind. I'm ready for games to start so I can quit thinking about all the what ifs. Good article and I'll go with the 0.43% chance we go undefeated.
Its SOLD OUT
ha..haha...hahahaha...hahaahah*sobbbbbb*
It looks like a ton of fun but I cant imagine how hot it has to get in those things...
Looks like pretty easy way to screw up your knee in those...
But it does look fun.
Nah. Just a new attitude, y'all. I'm no RG3 homer, but he's not untalented (or as injury prone as perceived).
Yep. Insiders are saying Bosa was skipping class the other three were failed drug tests.
Could be wrong, but it's the general consensus.
Just adding my two cents to what looks to be the general consensus anyway.
I hate this for any player on any team.
Allen Iverson aside, you practice at 100% to train your body and mind to give 100% on the field, and having all that effort result in a serious injury just seems horribly unfair.
I am torn between never wanting to see any kind of serious injury, and also wanting to see amazing athletes doing amazing things, regardless of the team they play on. The second often means players taking risks that put them at odds with the first.
All I can do to rationalize it is to remind myself these guys are aware of the risks, and for the most part have immediate access to medical facilities and rehab programs that most of us can only dream of.
Good luck to this young man, and good luck to OSU.
Unfortunately, this story isn't going to go away. In the era of ESPN and the rest of the media pushing pay for play, we just became the bad guys. They now have a villain for their movement, and its Bud Foster.
This isn't going away. Even more importantly, giving these kinds of quotes might be the single biggest reason he may never take over as head coach for any program down the line.
I'd be happy if the offense scored 24-31 points and the defense/special teams started scoring at least 1 TD a game again.
The nice part about anOSU fans is that they know all the letters to their school name. Clemson on the other hand always gets stuck on the "O" (that's what she said) when they're singing their fight song.
My thoughts on this conversation:
1. Braxton will get more plays added to his package (lets see where that goes - Phrasing!).
2. Heavy us of Zeke Elliott and other Backs - OSU is gonna run it, a LOT! This plays into our D weakness at MLB.
We finally have some beef along the DL tho. For once, Wiles has the ability to go jumbo if the situation calls for it.
When the news of the suspensions broke, it was stated that they were suspended for academic reasons and/or marijuana. I think people came to the conclusion that Bosa was the one suspended for academics (cutting class was the rumor) and the others were for marijuana. Not sure there's been any update since then.
Thankfully they aren't UCLA then, wounded nuts are much easier to crack...
I feel like they should also lock in all the suspended players with them, just so they can get a nice life lesson from the angry fans they're locked in there with.
And for anyone who is beside an OSU tailgate, treat with them respect. Share some alcoholic beverages and food, talk about their tailgating traditions, and play a game of cornhole with them (you don't have to let them win though).
They really did treat us with respect up there last year and while I know all of Hokie Nation probably will do the same, just remember that fact when you are about 10 deep in a twelve pack and you keep having to hear O-H-I-O.
If nothing else, think of it as good karma for the game!
The image of that will never leave my head. It was gruesome.
Hopefully when all their fans are having fun at the tailgate, someone locks the gate to the courts and keeps them trapped until after the game
You can't revel in an opponent's injury, especially one this serious. Suspensions, though....different story. :)
that looks like a blast

Yes because NO other coach has ever been reprimanded for saying things to the media that they shouldn't have or done something to tarnish their image and became or remained a Head Coach. Just to name a few, Steve Sarkisian, Bo Pelini, George O'Leary, Bobby Petrino, Mike Leach, and many others. This is and will be hardly anything at all that will bite him in the ass down the road.
