Did you hear about the 5'2" psychic who escaped prison? The police are searching for a small medium at large
Yep, it hurts but OSU isn't going to roll over either. We have Zeke, Samuel, Thomas, and the two best quarterbacks in the country. Oh, and the best offensive line. The WR core may be in really bad shape for this game, but we will just have to find other ways to get those yards that Brown, Smith, and Marshall would have gotten us. Having an excellent defense helps as well.
Yeah and thanks to all the VT fans on here as well. I've been really impressed with how cordial yall have been to us Buckeye visitors. I still hope we kick the living tar out of you guys on the 7th, but it has been a pleasure discussing the game with you guys.
At least our coaches aren't showing up drunk to booster events....
All kidding aside, I'm in the 'this is not a big deal' camp. A 10 win season will completely erase this. What is does hurt most IMO is Bud Foster's chances at replacing Frank. But, that's another issue, hopefully at least a season away, if not more.
He'll have two years of two deep work. A year just getting better without the physical toll.
For one, if Searels wanted to get his second stringers some reps with the first... why wait until two weeks before the season opener to do it? Why not do it during the spring or earlier in summer camp? Secondly, if he did want to build depth... wouldn't he want to rotate in a second string center so the backup can practice communicating with the first string?
I'm a little late to this discussion, but thought I'd add my 2. I think the shuffling at the tackle spots is pretty obviously related to Hansen being a little dinged up. As for why SS waited until this late to work Osterloh in, it could be as simple a reason as him having a bit of a breakthrough mid camp that established him as the likely 6th/7th lineman. Possibly SS decided that since the tackles would be changing around a bit all week, it was best tine to go ahead and work on mixing and matching to build depth across the line.
"... the medium."
Pretty sure no one is allowed to use that word any longer.... It has devolved into media (singular) and medias (plural).
I might be speaking for the group here but it's been a pleasure having yall here with your insight. No one is taking pleasure in an injury of an opposing team especially one to this caliber. the joy I have found in The Key Play is we can come together as a community about something we all love in Hokie football, but the vast majority also understand there is a life after that as well. Here's to a speedy recovery.
Encouraging notes on the health of Marshall and Dadi. Sounds like both are nicked up but should be good to go.
Not only that, but Bud is just an honest and forthcoming person. That's his personality. He along with Wiles shoot straight with the media. I think an unfortunate side effect is Bud being less insightful during interviews.
Once a Buckeye always a Buckeye.
Y'all are still claiming Cris Carter huh?
somebody in the video department deserves a little bump on their next paycheck
I can't add much, B476 pretty much covered it better than I can. It hurts, since Brown was expected to have a breakout year. I suspect we'll see more run plays and TE passes as a result simply because of our experience at those positions.
As a Buckeye, I appreciate the way you guys stay classy about an injury. It says a lot about your fan base. Thanks and here's to a great game between two great programs.
He's not a politician, he probably didn't recognize that it was a leading question.
Okay, thanks for the info!
All of the attention on this just goes to show you the butt hurt pussy society that we live in. Blah.
So Foster was contemplating fining players $ as disciplinary action? D'oh! Not a very smooth move sir. Lets move on and never speak of it again and let the students keep their paltry money.
Yeah but they advertise a college experience with all the perks, no pay and no class
Agreed, maybe not the Bear but definitely stacking the box. Bud would be crazy not to at this point. He was going to anyways, but now it is even more of a no brainer. Ha, Ohio State might just be better off going with three TE's at this point and just playing three yards and a cloud of dust football. Just joking of course. Urban would die before this happened.
I think he was using the word fine synonymously with punishment. Replace the fifth from the last word, "fine" with punishment. Makes peei sense, and I imagine Bud knew he was in up too his knees.
Yeah he was wearing a boot, but apparently its not a major injury. It better not be.
So does this explain Cardale's tweet about controlling what you can control?
Saw Galloway the other day. Dude looks like he could still play.
Are we really worried about losing a recruit because they would prefer to be able to break rules without consequence? I wish they could legally fine them for serious rule violations.

Man, reading this gets me psyched for the season to begin....that's play some FOOTBALL! Go Hokies!
