Cory Marshall in a blue jersey doesn't sound so great.
first time I "heard" it was when 7LoP used it above. So that's a fraternity guy using it to refer to non-fraternity people (while trying to argue against the douche-itude of greeks as a whole, ironically enough).
I would argue that certain words are automatically derogatory. Honestly, if we weren't talking about something that people are clearly invested in (at least I assume so by the high level of defensiveness flying about), we could all agree that adding "God-damned" as a prefix to most labels for groups of people makes that, which would have otherwise been inoffensive, offensive. Even so, I'd be interested to hear the origins of the name.
What cracks me up is that the term "frat" is apparently offensive. I never knew this was the case and will try to be careful to stop using it, but I'd love to hear the rationale behind that one.
On a lighter note, I would like to point out that calling someone a "God-damned Independent" has been known to result in bar room brawls.

There we go.
I guess that night was a blur for her, too.
Good stats, and an interesting breakdown. The other caveat is that we also lost Luther Maddy after the GT game, so his absence was certainly felt for a while.
I saw Ludacris at Tech somewhere within 2002-04 (my college memories are a blur). A girl standing next to me threw up on me.
Ok I'm not a huge country fan but I do get in my country moods every once in a while.
Accidental Racist, political message aside, might be the worst song I've ever heard. Nearly the same level as that Friday song.
They might have that posted on them a few times this year too.
6'1" 105? That couldn't have been healthy. I hope he's had some sammiches since as well.
LB play is definitely the biggest concern for us on defense. If RBs or mobile QBs manage to make it through our line I'm worried about our LBs making the play before the rest of the secondary gets to the ball carrier and teams nickel and diming runs down the field on us. I hope he proves us wrong, but I see Motuapuaka as a big liability.
Nope, hour before and hour after event.
I noted above that McKinnon is now listed at 225lb
yeah, LOLUVa's team has triple digits written all over it
McKinnon does not weigh 275. He hit the gym hard during his time away from the team and bulked up, but he didn't add 50lb. I would estimate he weighs around 230.
edit: his weight on hokiesports.com has been updated to 225lb
Which is FAR to high to rank UVA if you ask me...
late bloomer I guess. That was my fastest. Topped out around 165lb, but haven't been anywhere close to a 4.4 since I was that light.
Just to throw this out there, my freshman roommate at tech was the same height and 105 lbs. Made me feel downright husky
A couple of notes (this was authored after the original roster was posted but before practice started)
1) I still think McKinnon being 275 is a typo. He looks like he is playing around 235-240.
2) McKinnon has been working at backer so far this fall, however he has experience at mike.
3) Huelskamp has been working as the #2 mike linebacker ahead of Lydon so far. I didn't have any film on him other than his kickoff coverage against Ohio State. It sounds like Bud is very high on him.
All I need to know about the VT WRs this year is that I'm hearing they're starting to beat our DBs in practice. Considering who we have in our secondary this year, this makes me salivate.
I found an old picture of him actually

Hope he's had a few sammiches since HS.
I guess A1W in Idaho was a pretty close replica of 3 plant on my ship. Wasn't S1W the prototype with the ability to rock around like ocean waves were hitting it? MARF was a strange combination of a working Reactor Auxiliaries bubble tied into something like a WWII engine room. Fun place to learn.
Castle Greyskull was a huge, mostly empty building near the access gate. We would go there to pick up spools of rope or hoses or whatever random thing they had staged there. There were rumored to be access to some tunnels that hadn't yet been fortified by anything more than a rope and a sign.
3rd Q if I remember correctly
Someone correct me if I'm wrong (I have no hard evidence other than my own eyes), but some of those flyovers seem pretty damn low. Especially the prop-driven aircraft.
I'm sorry did you say 6'1 and 140?

Huelskamp looks like a good player, but at 207 lbs, seems a bit light for the duty.
