While we aren't talking a full concert, we really aren't even talking a full song. The entrance music cuts out before the words start. If they played the full song, they would be playing for a few minutes after the players ran out which would be kind of weird since they usually run out and then the captains line up pretty quick afterwards. If they played on the field there would be an extra few minutes of moving the small set off the field after that.
It is an awesome idea to think about but I think it would lose some of its luster with the delays. I suppose it would make for some really good TV though.
I think the coolest way they could do it (if it were to be done) is have the band separated around the stadium and as each instrument comes into the song, the band member starts playing and the focus switches to that person.
Only met Sergio once, before his senior year, he was fishing a "tournament" on the New River out of Whitethorne. He was a really nice guy and was obviously quite serious about his fishing. Seemed much more interested in jerking lip than anything else, so I am hoping he can make his passion work for him. Took me until I was 50 to figure out a way to make a living on the water, so he's way ahead of the game in my book. Good luck to him!
Edit: Clarification: Used some fishing slang there that could be misconstrued. "Jerking lip" means hooking and landing a fish.

I will say, though... I would love it if we worked with the guys who designed the Seahawks stadium and see what suggestions they can make to help trap as much noise as possible. What they did to that stadium legitimately turned that place into one of the toughest venues in the US simply due to acoustics. If there's anything we can do to help tilt the home field advantage further into our favor, we should look into it.

If we had Reavis I would easily defend us as the number 1 secondary. Without him I'd say we're still a lock for top 10 but we'll have to see how the new safetys come in
They also all live in the Bay area. It's a lot easier and a lot cheaper to get themselves, their crew and their gear to a Giants game than it is to Blacksburg, VA.
Why not include a live turkey on the Tech sideline? /s

Yep... I mean, I know the band lives in the SF area and are huge Giants fans, but they have shown the willingness to do something like this. With the 2 week gap in their scheduling, and our game right in the middle of it.... I dunno...

I think Miami has the same problem now that we have with the 757... Too many hands in the cookie jar and too many choices for these kids out of high school. The big problem for Miami is that most of these kids growing up there is that the only first hand knowledge they have of Miami is with half capacity crowds, pathetic fan support, and a complete longing for the past at the expense of the present. They compare that to what they see at the SEC, FSU, etc, and there is no comparison. Not to mention the huge NCAA scandal a couple years ago that dominated (and still dominates the South Florida) airwaves.

There might be some growing pains while things get figured out, but the secondary should be very good overall. Allow me to counter with a couple of statements.
1. Returning 4 guys with 7+ career starts, 3 starters from last year, an All-ACC caliber CB and an All-American CB from a secondary that was #14 in pass efficiency defense and #2 in passing S&P+ defense is a very, very good place to start.
2. We've had less experienced guys than Chuck Clark slide into the FS role and succeed. Plus, it's his third year in the system, so he should know the defense by now. Communication should be the main (perhaps sole) worry there.
3. We've been covering receivers like that ever since Torrian Gray got here. Not entirely sure why you're worried now.
It probably won't be the best secondary in the country and there'll likely be some issues with gap fits early on (heck, there were some with the senior safeties last year), but overall they should be quite good.
