If I was a gambling man I would take the * action any day. We may not win but no way we lose by 16 at home in the season opener...

"FedEx Field is the ex that walked all over you. The one you swore you'd never talk to again. Then one day you bump into them at the grocery store. They look great, charm you with smalltalk and before you know it you wake up next to them wrapped in nothing except tears, guilt, and self-pity."

lmao, I would give you a leg if I could just for this gem right here

this gives me the sads.....I left my ring at some girls a year after I graduated and could never get it back. It was a weird story the way it all ended bu hopefully one day someone has the decency to get it back to me wherever it is.

Anyhow, they didn't offer hokie stone for my class (02) but I got my birth stone (peridot) with a VT engraved in it. Cool thing about it is that in blacklight (when I was at bars and clubs during that time) the peridot glowed in the blacklight and the VT stood out. I still have my battle-ring (the sliver one) but wish I could get my gold one back.

If I drank coffee this morning that was left out since Friday, it would be like reading today's entry, "ugh, what the hell, I thought this was fresh...[pauses, drinks again]....meh."

But, good stats though! We're getting close to #1 so I have that to look forward to.
Oh, and fresher coffee I hope ^_^

Don't know where he's from but all seem to be relatively close so assuming staying close to home is important to him. Of course in my non-recruit mind the only competition I see is from PSU but that's me with my orange and maroon glasses on.

Davis did the same thing and pulled a couple of recruits away from us if I remember correctly. It's unreal. You at least have to be honest and tell the kid that you have no idea what's going to happen. It could be very minor it could be crushing. Of course you could play for a team that wins 1 game every year and still make it to the NFL so if that's the kids goal then I guess post-season games don't really matter except that they give you more playing time.

UNC seems to always have a decent team in the pre-season rankings and always seem to underwhelm as well. I can totally see them losing games they probably shouldn't and knocking them out of the ACCCG contention fairly early. I don't know their slate in the atlantic this year but I see them dropping one or two games that no one expects them to.

I do expect us to beat them (as usual) however it has seemed that we always dominate them for a while and then let them creep back into the game to keep it just interesting enough. We'll see how the year pans out but we do have them at home in November. Even though Raleigh isn't too far from Blacksburg it's not in the mountains. Blacksburg is a lot colder than Raleigh. Off the cuff I think this one is another in our scheme against them of we take a lead but don't close them out. It will be close enough to keep it a game the whole time but maybe a late field goal puts it out of reach late in the fourth (and all this without seeing either team play yet, ha). Of course I hope I'm wrong and we're starting our back-ups mid-third qtr due to prolific offense and a dominate defense.

Hey, if you pay money as a student and take classes one way or another get a class ring! The only thing I would say is if you are taking it as distance learning graduate you must make a pilgrimage to Blacksburg, attend a football game, go downtown at least once, and hike up the cascades. Then you can wear it with pride. I love my rings so glad I got them, my father was a Hokie and my grandfather was a Hokie and they have their rings.

I'm wondering if he's anxious about test scores and admission.
In that case, he leaves himself in a good position to say that he still got one of his top schools.

Could be he really likes ODU too. Lots of advantages to staying close to home.

I think option A is the only way to go here. Like mentioned above threads get ridiculously long as is with with off topic reply's to comments while they are mostly hilarious and fun sometimes they just make it hard to follow the main subject.

Sorry to revive an old thread.

Does anyone know how common it is to get a class ring as a VT graduate student? How about as a distance learning graduate?

WHAT?! We aren't 56 point underdogs to Ohio State? Take anOSU they are going to beat us by 85 points! /s

I do, most of the time that I'm shopping somewhere that has self checkouts, my cart is too full to not have to pull bags off the scale before I'm done. Also I would argue that while they might theoretically save you some time, in practice it takes longer since you can't do all the things you would normally do while the cashier is checking out your items, like getting your payment ready putting full bags in your cart, and browsing the overpriced impulse candy.

"The online MBA you probably can't get in to."

They won't even LET you attend class! You probably don't even need to log in either.
