Been going on a while - in the early 90's FC and Kempsville were both caught and had to forfeit half their wins. I know it happened for FC baseball, Kempsville and Cox soccer and we all assumed Great Bridge wrestling for decades drew from all over the area.
Is not a new problem but seems to move around the city every 5 years.

This could also be a case where Buzz told him that he was going to be seeing a lot less minutes this year because the team has evolved and said that he could stay or was free to go if playing time was that important to him. Malik probably didn't like hearing that and told the other guys Buzz said he wasn't good enough. Total speculation but there are multiple ways to say the same thing and I am sure we aren't all ignorant enough to think that Buzz didn't have some sort of nudge here but I doubt he just said "you aren't good enough to play for me".

Well, yeah, I get that. But all we can reasonably expect from the author is that everything be current and accurate as of the deadline. For all we know, with the recency of Ford's release, there's no reason to suspect such is not the case here.
Then there's the conversation regarding the editor (who may or may not be Steele himself in this case, no clue). Before going to press, you have to look and see what's changed. You've got a fourth string QB transfer. Okay, is this worth doing a last minute revision or printing a correction? No, probably not. Had it been Michael Brewer or Isiah Ford that was lost instead of Andrew, I'm guessing we would at least see a printed correction as and addendum to the original projection.
I really think this place needs a compiled database of targeted recruits that is its own section, not just a post on the recruiting forum. That's the one area where I feel TSL is ahead of TKP, their recruiting section is on point. But I think that would be really easy to set up here.
Also, and I'm not sure how practical this is, I think it would be awesome if TKP gave its own rating on recruits in addition to the standard battery of rankings. I'd be much more interested to hear how French rates an O lineman than how some 247 analyst who has to evaluate thousands of recruits does the same. The brain trust here could do an amazing job at projecting how a specific recruit would fit into our system.

# | Meta: How do we want to organize our discussion on recruiting? That is what VTGuitarMan and his swift justice is sworn to protect us from! I had in mind that this would be some tracker that would have recruits specs, ratings, offers, top whatever list, decision, etc. Posts would still be made about visits or high priority material. Just some sort of home base for recruiting info.
That's what got it banned. Is there any doubt that this would also happen again?
It's not all that odd. VT tends to play to the level of the opponent. There are no "gimme" games.
Wait, now. Isn't that the reason stick it in is in such trouble in the first place?
I think it's pretty odd that we are bigger underdogs against anOSU than favorite against LOLUVA.
I don't remember, did the Fuller INT come when defending Switzer? Because if it didn't, I kinda think Switzer had better trash talk haha.
