Why do you think that happened? Me and him are in cahoots. Let the barnyard underground do its work

$47,000.00 for beer security.
It's that kind of idiot costs that will keep you from making a profit.
They spent $50k for some guys to check IDs and put on wristbands. Their vendor raped them.

With a name like billdozer...totes! By the way, billdozer, always a fan of your work. Where can I find the gif that had the multi series of "f*ks" that you've posted before?

Writing's been on the wall for EL for some time, after getting passed by underclassmen and walkons. But hey, he's got a great degree and best of luck to him.

When I talked to Gresh in December, he said he had an open invite to return. Not sure if as a scholarship player. He's looking to get a business internship this summer at some pretty lofty places, and you need to be a student still to do so. Not sure if his future plans involve coming back to VT, though.

that will never happen..the security on staff is more concerned with drunkards...that won't change. Punishing students for having fun is ridiculous anyway. Just don't provide them with the tools to have fun...that's so much easier than punishing them

In regards to the paper airplanes: All of you TKPers on twitter start hitting Whit with a request to do something about it. Everyone hates them, except for the students that throw them. They need to be taught that paper airplanes are not acceptable. Make it an ejectable offense. When the students pick up their tickets make them sign a piece of paper acknowledging that they understand that throwing paper airplanes will result in removal from the stadium. If a security guard or cop sees you throw one, you're out. Zero tolerance. Eventually, all but the dimmest bulbs will catch on and the paper airplanes will diminish significantly.

Not sure of the logistics, but it'd be nice to have the Effect shirts at the stadium instead of needing to buy them at the store. Raise the ticket prices (season or individual) a few dollars if they're concerned about money, but it's a great way to have the entire stadium is maroon on effect day and look awesome.

had they not just put up a new jumbotron, i wondered if excavating to put the new indoor facility partially under a new north endzone structure wouldn't have been a better location than some of the other recommendations. oh well...

Most of the MVs are too drunk to remember more than 3 songs. They used to smuggle 5ths into the stadium in each tuba.

I think more teams will be copying the success of Seattle's defense this year for several reasons; Defense wins championships, and defenders cost less than offensive players.

In regards to Seattle's championship D (and lets face it, their offense is NFL mediocre at best,) it is based around a superior secondary, similar to VT. With that kind of talent on the backside, you can stack the box, rush the passer and get your linemen in the backfield to force mistakes. Run defense in the NFL seems almost irrelevant these days, though Seattle had to make sure their run D was ready for the NFC CG against the 49ers, one of the best rushing teams in the league (a traditional jumbo Stanford-type squad, but with the bonus of a dual-threat QB.)

I think Bud Foster's scheme would work just fine on the NFL level with the right talent, and I think more teams will be investing in their secondary to copy the success of Seattle and Arizona (an 11-5 squad last year with a sub-par offense which relied on its secondary.)
