I think Tech's offense is going to surprise a few teams next year. A previous comment about the upside in all of our QBs in this competition says nearly the same thing. All the offense skill positions have many names in the mix and competition exists for all of them.
I think the downside stuff that French mentions is correctable with good QB coaching (Lefty does that) and with time on the field (if he wins the QB comp he will get that). So, I don't see either of these as huge liabilities at this point. As french said, the QB comp outcome is far from decided.
Clearly these guys will challenge each other, pushing them all even further - that is a scene VT hasn't had in a long time (pre-Tyrod). Bring It!!
We have this for basketball. Makes it real annoying to swap tickets. We get a ticket for a particular seat when we walk in the door.
GT just beat Syracuse. Don't have high hopes.
Exactly, when we were losing close but competitive games it was one thing. But now we have back slip into blowouts again. I honestly think the best thing that could happen would be for JJ to resign. That takes the pressure off Whit to have to fire somebody in his second month. It gives the fans and team a sense of some change WILL happen.
appreciate it, I have some good stuff planned for this summer!
As far as the gif, if it wasn't one I made it means I either saw it on imgur or just googled it...and if that is the case then...no clue, could be buried in the depths of the internet
"As a hokie fan, this guy would make a pretty good tight end, and thats about it."

I said this on another board, but flames coming out of the top of the West Stand castle like structures.
For those of you that have been to Kings Dominion - kind of like the Volcano ride with the flames coming out the top.
Does anybody have any clue whats up with Joel Caleb? I know he hasn't played and there has been talk about him switching to D, but what's the real deal?
Is it possible he seeks a transfer?
Heard an interview from Lefty and he kinda giggled and got a giddy smile when someone mentioned using all 3 TE's. The guy can't wait to get them on the field and use them properly. Just think of the space those 3 can open up for a speedy guy like Ford, or JC or heck any of the skilled players.
IMO sometimes you use the TE as a dummy route to clear space and hit the little dump off that goes for 60 yards and a TD. Or use the 2 TE's split them on different sides and have them run a 15 yard out towards the pylon and baaammm the middle of the field is wide open!
I'm so Excite (Borat) and Can't Wait (Bart Scott) for March 22nd!
Actually, you can.Throwing anything at sporting events isn't allowed. There's the chance it can go on the field and throwing anything on the field warrants an ejection from the game.
We've won 2 - both against Miami, so we've only beaten 1 team. But last place is last place...
Wow - I'm sure it's been stated, but we have won only 1 game this year.....
Maybe we can get numero dos vs. GT?
Wow.
Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe Front Squats are the only thing VT reports as official. They do not measure the back squat.
yeah but why rush the kid when we have what looks like a good 1-2 tandem in jc and juice. We don't need T-Eddy to have a re-occurring injury and then he's done for the year. I'd be fine with him missing the Bill & Jill game, and be ready for Ostate
Ban paper airplanes and beachballs.
And the wave. Forever ban the wave.
Do this from last year's HokeVision convo (LINK), but replace Grimes with a mechanical Aaron Moorehead chopping wood.

First game of the season this year I grabbed a paper airplane out of the hands of the guy behind as he cocked it back, and told him to be a fan and support his team. I heard him mockingly repeating what I said to others around him, but he never said a word to me, and I clearly got my point across.
I've been out of the MVs for 2 years now, but when I left, they were trying to simplify everything. The pace of the game has changed so they needed to have a scheduled plan for situations that occur so there's less down time trying to figure out which song to play. I believe there are 3 songs that are rotated for when the other team gets the ball (one of which being The Imperial March), the H-O-K-I-E-S HOKIES! part of VPI Victory March for when we get a 1st down, We Will Rock You/We Just Sacked You for a sack, Carry Me Back for any big play such as a large gain or a turnover, and then a few rotating songs for when we are on defense. Unfortunately, the choice has to be made and communicated to 360 people within 5 seconds of the end of the play so that there is any time at all to play a song. Seeing as how all 360 of those people are watching the game, celebrating those same plays or reacting to bad plays, it can be difficult to get everyone on the same page. That's how it works between plays, unless you are referring to full length songs that are played during timeouts and such. In that case, there really is no rhyme or reason as to which song is played. Some are just preferred by the director and drum majors so they get played more often.
As well as your opinion on which type of offense best suits their skill sets. A big part of this years offense will be dependent on what the supporting cast can do.
A girl I work with her husband works for the Montgomery Co sheriffs dept and
he has told her that they typically bring in about 100 people for drunk in public
on game days.

# | Men's BBall: Virginia Tech (9-19) at Maryland (15-14) at Comcast Center at 8pm ESPN3 We don't deserve it, but it was only 6 years ago Georgia went from dead last in the SEC to winning their tournament. And in 2007 NC State went to the ACC title game as an 11 seed, so anything can happen. I think letting the bad teams in just makes it more fun.
Don't forget winning at halftime
Always.

I have no problem with the police presence. I am there to enjoy the game and not be bothered by drunks.
