I highly doubt he is going to go undrafted. Hell, if he's still on the board by the fifth round I'd be surprised. Because around that time a lot of teams are almost randomly choosing players and if possibly the best athlete of the class is on there they'd take him just because of that because the only other options are the 17th best WR, 12th best RB, 20th best CB, etc. (Yes, I made those up but you get the point.)
If they would have enforced the "Reply with Quote", vBulletin would have been more usable even if some people were still using the threaded view. However, they tried to be half pregnant and keep both threaded views and vBulletin views and it didn't work well. They should have committed to vBulletin and stuck with it. Once they added the chat boards back, I knew it was a matter of time. I didn't renew my subscription which expired this week as a result. Was so glad to find this site.

Simple, move the extra point line back 10 or 15 yards, increase the element of risk. Do not get rid of the extra point, that would be un-American! Seriously though, just make it a longer kick... say from the 15 yard line which puts it at a 32 yarder, play a season, then assess the results and adjust again if the suits don't like the results. It's not rocket science NFL, just make it more interesting by upping the challenge.

Thank you, this is my exact point. QB's are always going to be taken earlier than other positions. If the other QB's go early, it's not unreasonable for a GM to think he has a better chance of turning a big body with a big arm into an NFL QB than the other mid-tier QB's in the draft.
Thomas has a higher ceiling than basically anyone at the QB position simply because of his arm strength.

15 things our new athletic director should do (in order of importance):
- Fundraising - Can't improve anything without cash, and with potential coaching changes coming in the next 2-3 years in two revenue sports, a healthy budget is a must. We don't want to lose out on a big time replacement for Frank just because our athletic apartment isn't as wealthy as could be.
- Fan support (this is more like 1b.) - Goes hand in hand with fundraising, but we need to increase fan/alumni awareness and benefits. The fact that people don't know how to sign up for Hokie Club/don't view it as a wise investment is a problem.
- Fundraise More
- Get involved in ACC/College football/NCAA politics - Given that college football conferences, TV deals, NCAA rules, etc are always changing, it's imperative that you put your program first. No, I'm not talking about switching conferences, but our voice needs to be heard LOUD AND CLEAR when schedules are made, new TV deals are negotiated, teams are added to conferences, divisions are changed, etc (no one wants to be stuck in the 'ACC North').

A lot of people are talking about the basketball program... Definitely important, but I'm not sure what an AD can do other than fire/hire coaches? The facilities are nice, we are still suffering from the shitty position JJ was put in. I say we wait until JJ gets a chance with players in his system. No need to end his contract early, lose more money and recruits, and spend more time rebuilding. Perhaps in the mean time add an assistant coach to fire up the players? I think it's important to be patient here. If the new AD can FUNDRAISE, we will be able to afford a big name coach if JJ doesn't pan out.

If I hadn't watched bits of the film today, I would not have believed so wholeheartedly with you. Logan looked better then Tahj and Morris, strictly from an accuracy standpoint. On simple out routes Logan was markedly better and Tahj and Morris missed badly a few times. That is believed to be one of LT3s weaknesses and he was doing well.
The NFL analysts on during the practice say that LT is the most polarizing figure ever (who would have thought). People swear he is going to be a TE, some swear the 7th round or undrafted, some think top 100. You are going to hear mixed reviews of LT3 throughout the process, but as long as he plays/tests comparably to other QBs, he will be the 3-5th QB off the board. What was thought to be a loaded draft has become a very weak one.

Bostad spent years coaching the best offensive line in the country.
We have an annual enrollment of 31k. It's bordering on a crime that the Hokie club has wasted the last 20 years of relative football success and not leveraged our immense fan base into a financial windfall.
We literally set ten thousand new hokie fans into the job force, well educated with good earning potential every year. There's no sane reason we couldn't make bank off of that as an athletic department.
The only real thing separating us from those SEC and B1G schools is attitude.
UVAs athletic Fee is $621, ours is $272. That's a $450 per student difference. If we charge what UVA charges for athletic fees it would mean an additional ~$10.8 in revenue alone.
Even increasing our athletic fee by 50% would mean an extra $4.2m, that's enough to get a MBB coach worth a damn and pay FB assistants at a competitive level alone.
I'm going to root harder for Thomas than I have for any other Hokie in the pros.

All i'm saying is that I could understand how a GM and coach whose backs are against the wall could talk themselves into reaching for him, especially when you factor in where his stock will be by the time the draft rolls around. Skeleton drills, the combine, the interviews... Does anyone doubt that Thomas can crush these things? Nobody will see their stock rise more over the next few weeks than Thomas.
I mean, Tim Tebow got drafted in the first round. Thomas in a work out will make Tebow look pedestrian.
And whoever drafts Kyle (despite his injury) will be getting the steal of the draft. Dude was the best corner in the country before he got hurt. Could be an impact player at nickel for someone immediately, ability to come up and tackle is a huge weapon against spread teams with mobile QB's.
I have to say, while I think he will get drafted...flabbergasted is precisely the word I would use to describe my reaction if he were to be nabbed in the first round
I hope Norwood Teague is the new AD. He is probably the best chance we have getting Shaka since you know he brought him to VCU and all. He does a fantastic job, I like him a lot. One of the best in the business IMO.
