Agreed, we're all frustrated today, but this is a game. Hell, I went to my first one as a 4 year old in '86 and we got smoked by whoever, don't even remember, but it was the most amazing experience of my 4 years and I would have sworn on the spot that I would be a Hokie forever. We've been spoiled to have reason to have such lofty expectations. I'm not saying we lower our expectations, but I'm going to wake up tomorrow and be just as happy to throw on orange and maroon. More maroon than orange though.
happy thoughts
I don't care if our qb throws for 200 yrds a game and rushes for 50 yrds a game as long as he wins. Logan was pathetic again tonight, and he deserves nothing but criticism for his performance. And honestly he should have been benched tonight. PITTSBURGH Put over 50 on dukes defense to put things in perspective
I agree. I hate losing a hell of a lot more than I enjoy winning.
Duke beat us, plain and simple. Come back next week and beat Boston College. Beamer needs to light an Oregon type score as many points as possible fire into his team. Until next week. Go Hokies!
I tend to believe that a lot of the recruits we're getting are not just a product of the new coaches bringing some energy, but the legend of Beamer and Foster. Come play for legends. If he goes, who among the recruits bolts? Continue to reload under the proud tradition that Beamer built. What we're seeing now is the product of a few down years of incoherent recruiting. We have talent, but it doesn't necessarily mesh well.
3rd and 1 or less with a quarterback thats taller than yard.....running back power O play.... THAT DOES NOT MAKE SENSE
what the hell, I thought Stiney didnt call plays anymore, this was awful on so many levels, say what you want logan supporters, and trust me I've supported him through thick and thin but he missed SO MANY READS he had open WRs deep at least 4 or 5 times, and threw it into triple coverage over the middle, he's hesitant to throw it deep now which I find highly ironic considering how well he throws deep, anyway our offense needs to take a big look in the mirror and decide RIGHT NOW who are we?
Personally, I think it's fine to be upset after a loss. UVa fans sit around coming up with positives from their losses, like being "the best 3rd down defense in the country." They're content with losing, that's why they continue to lose. If you hate to lose, you play harder.
Thats doesn't matter.
Perception is reality in CFB.
I'm gonna do the worst thing I could possibly do after a loss. Sit in my apartment by myself without drinking. This is gonna be a terrible night.
The past is the past. This is not the Duke of old.

Agreed. Wish I could meet you there, instead will stay drunk in my DC home.
It was obviously a bad loss. But I don't think you've thought that one through. We have absolutely no clue how good of a HC Bud would be. And if we get anyone other than Bud then he's gone. Way too many unknowns if Beamer leaves.
We just lost to a team that won 8 games between 2000-2007.
This isn't a league that gives everyone medals. Go play soccer some where else
Sorry, I don't agree. If you had no kicker, would you keep putting him in or go for it on 4th down?
This year was a rebuilding. Offense still needs to continue building up. Can't be calling for Beamers head here. The team did well overall, take away some poor decisions and bad kicks and we win this.
Yes. I think we all agree. I'm simply trying to preach patience and that no one person/coach is to blame. They all are, but let's not start calling for anyone's head after a loss.
Rain doesn't bother us. Cold doesn't bother us. Snow doesn't bother us.
But those damn shadows, they'll get after ya.
Coles had more than one lazy block that Davis taught him too.
I'm going to blame the 330 start time
We can't debate that. Coaches pick the players to play. But when a kid lays an egg, we can point it out. I just think he lacks consistency. I think he is slow in process and decisions. Makes me wonder about Leal if the coaches don't put him in.
Though, could be practice versus gameplay issue. Ie playing difference. Some kids excel in pressure situations.
You know, I'm incredibly pissed off at how Logan played. Everyone else has stated his faults already. Same with Cody. But the one guy that I don't think anyone mentioned yet is DJ Coles. How freaking hard is it to get set before a play? You'd think after the debacle against Alabama he would have learned that he should try to get lined up quicker. That was an easy touchdown and he blew it. Next play was a pick (an incredibly dumb decision by Logan). What a freaking joke.
i dont get it, its just duke
The 4th-and-11 was just a case of no-man's-land. On the 31, that's a 48-yard FG that Journell is not going to make. No point punting, it's going to be a touchback, a return by Crowder who is very dangerous, or you risk getting it blocked, in which case Duke gets better field position than the 31. Hindsight is 20/20, but Duke didn't get anything out of the resulting drive, so it wasn't really a mistake.

I disagree - Duke didn't beat us. We gave that game away. I want our team to be ticked off at that, come out and just maul BC because of it.
