I'm reasonably forgiving of most Of the 4th downs, lights out defense, 0 faith in your kicker, and close enough that it doesn't make sense to go for a 25 yard punt...go for the 4th & 3. Maybe not the 4th & 11.
Agree. I'm not trying to start up the Tomas vs Leal thing. My only point is there is blame beyond the QB play.

Given that we converted 4/6, and since Frank must know that Cody is struggling, I agreed with the 4th down calls. Not the play calls, mind you, but the fact that they were going for it. The end-around that got blown up was stupid, but that's on Loeffler.
i said this earlier in the post but cody is hiding in franks pocket and protected it appears. logan fucked up bad, but so did cody. he shouldn't get a pass with all his off field issues as well. his misses almost cost us the ecu game and today it cost us the game. the offense drove the ball into makable fieldgoal territory and he missed
Next season I hope Trey Edmunds moves to linebacker. Did you see the hit he put on the Duke defender after the interception on the Hokie's last drive. Though they needed him there this year, he's not a natural running back. Also looking forward to upgrades at quarterback and field goal kicker. I think Logan would have been better developed as a Tight End.

I think the issue most have, is how many eggs can we allow Logan to lay? And only one or two is not a realistic count.

Logan laid an egg, sure, but as I see it, Cody missed 2 field goals, that were more than makable. Last time I checked we lost by 3. LT throwing 4 picks was negated by Duke doing the same thing. It comes down to Cody just as much LT. Ultimately this rests on the team...Too many missed opportunities to win this game.

If I divide up the blame in my mind here, I go:
Logan: 20%
Cody: 40%
Loeffler: 40%

I agree, but some it should also be on Cody Journell. His two misses could have been the margin of victory.
