# | Bitter blog - After much-needed bye, well-rested Hokies prep for Duke Our guys had better play with some intensity this week (not that they don't always, but they should be resting up for maximum energy this Saturday). Why do I say this? Duke: (1) just came off an impressive comeback win, (2) is 5-2 and is not a joke, and (3) is playing for bowl eligibility, plus the chance to upset a decently ranked VT team in doing so.
Weird, if anyone is offended or would like this taken down just comment.
There is also one in the new Dining Center on campus which takes dining dollars and had the busiest opening month of any Qdoba

I wrote this in a previous post- beating UVA is a program goal. The better UVA is, the better VT has to be to beat them. At the start of the decade it looked like UVA and UNC would push VT. Now? Not so much. Perhaps Miami will provide that challenge if they can avoid the NCAA death train.
If FSU wins out I think they get more credit for their schedule. Also by having a r-FR QB who wins the Heisman.
They cheated and should be burned to the ground.
Yup our best case scenario is FSU losing a close game to Miami, which legitimizes Miami as a top 5 and keeps FSU's ranking as high as possible. Then FSU bounces back and reels off 4 wins to close the season by dominating WF, Syracuse, Idaho and Florida.

The football season is good for two things. Rooting for Virginia Tech, and bashing UVA.
The Hokies should be fired up for any game..I think they are truly focused on being better and making Hokie history. Last years record really hurt them after all the recent success.
There is nothing at chipotle that can beat this in my opinion.

Yeah, you need that organization and management as well. There is more to it then X and O's..the structure of a football program (it's a business) is like any other company that makes money.
But how many times has someone guaranteed that? Teller was slated to play defense. Granted he may switch back, but never know. Bucky could be a TE before long? Joel Caleb was a WR?
Anyway, never know till we get there. If I were Terrell, I may realize that there is a lot of depth and talent at DB. Next year will be crazy for that position.
That's why they haven't been back lately! They haven't skirted major NCAA sanctions in the recent past!
We only have ONE game on our schedule, DUKE. We are not allowed to talk about any other games past or present. We can bash UVa but it must be unrelated to any past or future alleged games against VT.

Can I just say something. There are 5 active threads on the right about bashing UVA. Yeah I love giving them hell, but do we really need 5 threads to do it? It's kind of like the ESPN/HD bashing earlier in the season. Its gotten a bit excessive in my opinion. Yeah it was the bye week and all, but can we get back to talking some Hokie football please?
