Should OSU lose to Michigan, that's enough to drop them out of contention since it would be a week before Championship week. That gives them 1 week to get back up to the top 2. Not happening. If Stanford beats Oregon, they still stay outside the top 2 IMO because they lost to unranked Utah. As you said, there are too many ifs to say for sure which is why I say wait until after November 9th. The top 10 will have at least 3 different if not 4 or more different teams in it by then.

Akron scared Michigan not Ohio State. I think the only game they could potentially drop is Michigan only because of the rivalry. Also if Michigan State gets to the conference championship, their D could shut them down.

I'm not disagreeing with you, but if you seperate yourself from the situation for a moment you see tOSU with Urban Meyer at the helm, coming off an undefeated season in which they didn't get a chance to play for the title. They end the season with one loss and are in the debate for #2 in BCS.

Voters will want them in that NCG, because of the name on their chest. Between them and VT, voters choose them. SOS does matter but I just don't see the media and coaches ranking us over them, with the same record.

Since 1980? Add Missouri and Pitt. Also, I don't see GT for football (though they won the Coaches' championship in '90).

I just can't see a one loss tOSU (to a B1G opponent no doubt) getting picked over a 1 loss VT (assuming we ran the table and won the ACC) ....our SOS would heavily outweigh theirs and our only loss would be to the number one team in the country (at the time... I'm banking on LSU to beat Bama this year folks)

The B1G is pretty average, if not a 'tad' bit better.. Meanwhile one could argue that the ACC is the second best (or at least in the discussion for second best) conference.

Not the Super K from Kroger. The opening might not be the biggest but its enough to stay spill free. Plus I don't like OJ and feel bad dumping it out.

Gators get it done by just enough.
The Big Tree covers.
Johnny Football covers, but Auburn scores a lot also. 50-30 track meet here.
Arizona State. U-Dub stock is falling.
Dabo and the Swinneys protect the house.

gonna try something a lil different this week...so here goes

+1 for the witty pun. Whatever happened to having an empty 3 liter bottle of Super K cola as your portable port-o-potty?

I don't think Oho State loses, and even if they do lose one, them at one loss and B1G champs gets them in over us at one loss and ACC champs (we'd probably have the better resume but people were drooling over OSU after last years undefeated season and I think that would get them in above anything).

If Stanford beats Oregon, they finish their season (likely) with one loss and they probably get in over us because they would be Pac10 champs with one loss (being to a lesser oppenent than Alabama but probably a slightly more impressive resume).

Even if LSU beats Bama, a one loss SEC champion gets into the title game, no questions asked. Two losses and it gets interesting, but that just doesn't seem likely to happen.

There are too many if's here to say for sure and again, I'm being very pesimistic and I know that, but I can just see the media saying, if we win the ACC, "Clemson, FSU, and Miami crumbled to weaker teams at the end, proving that the ACC is still not a premier conference." I really think the media and voters have put all their eggs in those three teams and wouldn't accept another team coming out of the ACC a legitimate national title contender.

Also, important to note that there are 10 port-o-potties right beside us.

So what you're saying is, you have crappy neighbors?

Agree completely. Have to give college coaches time to recruit and install their system. It's not the pros and were you can put decent roster out there in one offseason. Additionally, Tech has very little basketball history and is not a high profile location despite being in ACC. Takes time.

As pleanty of people have mentioned, the Prices Fork lot is open to anyone. It's $15 to park there, but if you have a valid commuter parking pass it's free.

It's first come first serve so if we get there early, we should be able to find a spot in the grass, either by the parking deck or Prices Fork, to set up tents, grills, chairs etc. I think this is our best bet in finding a spot, we just need to be there early.

I don't particularly want to volunteer for this just because I know it's going to take a decent bit of effort, but if somebody could maybe start a list of who is bringing what that would be great. Just so we know what we already have and what we may need. If nobody else steps up, I'd be glad to do it.

I like what Joe is saying, either bring food for the entire tailgate, or a canned donation if you want in on this fun. Just spitballing I think we're going to need the following things:

The Essentials:
Food
Beer
Bourbon

Important:
Grill
Cornhole (other games)
Other drinks (soda & water)
Chairs
Tent

Other:
Speakers and Music
Beer Bongs

Somebody is going to need to get there really early to reserve the spot for us (Joe, I'm kind of assuming this may be you). For this to work, and I think most people on here want this to happen, we need everyone to chip in something. If you can't cook, go pick up something pre-made from the store or contribute some other way.

Just my thoughts.

But can you bring Daniel L. Crandall?
