Sugar bowl was obviously the best. But Orange bowl was good too. And the chik-fil-a bowl gave us chicken sandwiches after the game which equals perfection.
Big hit, but it was clean.
We haven't had many of those types of hits in our games, said Congemi, who played quarterback at Pitt in the mid-1980s. That one that Devin took was the closest thing that I have seen to maybe warranting a penalty.
I was under the assumption it was a penalty because it was a vicious hit."
Lol, what?
Can't count how many times I shouted "DADI" watching the Pitt game. The kid is lights out.\
I didn't travel to the game - but I was pretty impressed with the bowl.
Granted, the name sucks (it used to be the Tangerine?/Citrus? bowl I think)- but I think they did a really good job promoting the game and the production was pretty good overall. I still follow their twitter feed, they were often hilarious. That being said - playing Rutgers and the Big East does not excite me. Or anyone.
However, I think after this year RAB gets the first pick after the playoff and the Orange Bowl - so we might be seeing more of it. The tie-in will be the Big 12 though - no more Big East/AAC.
Yeah, if Renner played against this defense, he'd be in real bad shape afterwards.
Aw man the stuff we would get for the Orange bowl was always awesome. Mostly because we would actually get several things
For a second rate bowl, they gave band members some pretty nice stuff.
Yes, I rate bowls that way sometimes.
All I remember is that the Russell Athletic Bowl sucked. If it ceased to be a bowl game, I wouldn't be offended.
Part of that may just be trying to distract the media from the problems the team has, like their poor offensive line performance, etc.
Chryst is really whining about the hit.

Agreed 100%. On a lesser defense, someone like Tyler would rack up astronomical tackle numbers and show up all over the awards. I'm guessing he ends up with less tackles this year vs. last due to his teammates stepping up more. That doesn't mean that he isn't one of the best linebackers in the country, though.
Much obliged
Typical ESPN picking the guy with the flashy interception number (who doubtless has been exceptionally good) versus the guy who most here would agree is having the best year among our secondary (Kyle).
That said, what other school can make a comment like this about their secondary?
The better ESPN article would have been the one that said they're going to simplify the process and just name the Hokies' starting D the mid-season All-American team.
Don't forget Xavier Adibi. Started 8 games for the Texans.

Danke.
I knew picking against us would bite me in the ass, because defense.
Jesus. Just think if I did play Cutler and Denarius Moore instead of Sproles and Romo. That would've been 168 points. Insane.
Edit: Also, are there supposed to be links to past week on the top of this post? If so, I'm not seeing them.
I'm just enjoying the fact that this poster's user tag is "vtpoop"
To both of your points, Our D (heh) is as good, if not better than Florida's, and they gifted the game to Miami via a ton of turnovers. I'm quietly confident about taking on Miami, but Duke and BC actually have me worried

These things are NEVER correct even with a week left in the season.
Alot of 'any given' Saturdays left to play.
VT is currently eligible for its TWENTY FIRST straight bowl game.
