Man idk...I got an El Cheapo at CFT for like 4 bucks and that thing was loadeeeed

Was at that game and my brother was on the team as well and I put that one squarely on the shoulders of Stinespring and Frank. B Ore was killing the dogs in the first half, 21-3 at half if I remember, and we quit giving it to him in the second half. My god that fight song their band plays was sooooooo damn annoying!

I think our Front-7 knocks S. Morris out of the game as VT exacts its revenge.

I see you are making good use of the bye week... I'll search and see if I can find it for ya.

And, just one more point: UVA wants to recruit great football players, Virginia Tech wants to create great football players. Big difference.

The Orange bowl gets the first At-Large pick this year. If there is going to be a year to go to the Orange Bowl, this year is the one.

I don't think beating da U is unreasonable either. I think we all have vetted our distaste for the rankings, but go look at CU, FSU, and UM remaining schedule. I don't see any getting through that without a loss (and they all basically face off against each other or $EC). The ACC is super fun to watch this year which is a testament to the leagues growing strength, but seeing multiple teams reaching a BCS seems unlikely to play out.

Yeah, it will be tough but there are times where we look unstoppable even without a running game. I dont think it's all that difficult to believe that we can beat Miami. It's the ACC championship that will most likely be the toughest.

Reaching here...
But Clemson has F$U and USC left.
F$U has Clemson, Miami and Flo-rida left.
Both could have 2 losses.........and if we win out, could be in the BCS very cleanly.

P6 Game winners Week 7 ATS:
Rutgers
VT
Texas
LSU
Oregon
Ole Miss

If you did 3-3 this week, congrats cause 43 of the 73 people who picked this week went 2-4 or 1-5. I led the 1-5 charge. Welp.

Big ups for going 5-1 to vtphoenix & amott22

Derps of the week at 1-5: bco, The Fighting Gobbler, weavez22, shakeitallabout, EPHokie, MrsDozer& Chazz Michael Michaelzz

Overall this group is clustered in the mid to low 60% range:
BilldozerVT, Griffer, SpiderHokie, StLHokie, dwalt88, InEnemyTerritory, vtnerf & afreitas112

Let me know if you think I entered you in incorrectly.

Honestly, if it's not an SEC team or a PAC12 team that were playing against this year (I'd like to see us against UW or UCLA) ...then I'll be pretty disappointed.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves. We basically need a W over Miami to have any chance at the ACCCG. Win that and we get one, or a loss to Clemson/FSU maybe? I don't see making a BCS if we don't first make Charlotte.

Another bowl game where we beat ourselves...when i mean we i really mean Sean Glennon and his three pickles

Has anyone taken out all 4 directional Carolina's in a season? I wouldn't mind being the first.

Oh and I wouldn't mind playing Cincinnati in the Russell Athletic Bowl either. We owe them. Big time.

Reminds of back in 09 everybody wanted to see a rematch around this time of the year.

Since Cornell Brown, the following Hokies defensive front six (ends, tackles, mikes, and backers) have started a game in the NFL

John Engleberger
Darryl Tapp
Jason Worilds (different position)
Jonathan Lewis.

Guys who were terrific at VT like David Pugh, JC Price, and Corey Moore never got a sniff in the NFL because Foster's scheme is so dependent on DL to slant and for the inside backers to play straight ahead instead of flowing sideline to sideline. It is a Georgia Tech wishbone of defenses.

Other coaches in the ACC use that track record against VT (Stephone Anthony to Clemson, Travis Hughes to UNC.) most of the chatter I heard about Butch Davis was that the first thing he pulled when he was going head to head with VT on a recruit was to show an infographic on VT's lack of successful NFL front seven players.

It is a major testament to the entire staff that the defensive recruiting has improved so much over how dreadful it was around 2009.

Honestly I would rather play a big time SEC team in the CFA Bowl then a lousy mid major in the Orange Bowl. A win over a SEC team would be much bigger than a win over an undefeated or one loss mid major, just saying.
