I agree, but I also think they shouldn't glorify the big hit, especially when the recipient gets hurt. Not a good call in my book. You're right that it's a clean hit, but there has to be a bunch of other plays they could highlight instead.

This plus a million. I hate BC because they always seem to play us tough, even though they should just lay down sometimes. They aren't doing that this year. And they're both putting up points and preventing points against the best teams the conference has to offer. They've lost at USCw, at Clemson, and vs FSU. No shame in that, for the most part. Their best win is probably Army, and they allow points to everyone (Villanova put 14 on them and Wake got 10), but they're better than their record indicates and will be really problematic for us. They always get up for us and we're going up to Chestnut Hill this year.

Not going to read this thread but:

1) Kavlin Cline is the most stylish TE we've got. Kid has a future
2) Ow, Kysheon.
3) Dislike of the lat TD Pitt scored.
4) Still can't run
5) Sackfest 2013

Kam was the number 1. But Kysheon plays with absolute recklessness

This is going to be easier said than done. Duke is not the Duke of old, and BC is giving even the best teams in the conference fits. MD is talented and fast, and UVA almost beat them. I thought the second half of the season was going to be relatively smooth sailing but i worry about every game now.

Here is what I am intentionally choosing to believe, whether it is a fact or not:

If I'm the OC, I know that Logan is our most dangerous weapon. We have to set him up to make plays and we can't get him hurt. So I focus on getting the passing game up and running first. It looks to me like we're practicing pass protection more than we're practicing run blocking, and I'd guess it is because we need Logan to make plays. Notice how LT3 is our most effective runner? It looks like we practice plays that put the ball in his hands. I'm betting we'll work on getting the run game up and running in the bye week heading into Duke. We'll need to, because Boston College is looking a lot better than I thought they were going to look.

Earlier this season we were just happy for wins. Now it sounds like people are getting picky again.

Let's not forget we have a new OL coach teaching in a new offensive system with banged up players. This team is going to get about 20 points a game and hopefully more when they fully gel.

Now look at our remaining schedule and tell me which team is going to put up more than 20 on this defense?

Let's be happy with what we have and the direction we are going and reserve judgement until the film is reviewed. I don't think many thought we would be 6-1 at this point.

This line was stuck in my head most of the game and after.

Dadi also got a helmet sticker from non other than Pitt alum Mark May on College Football Final.

But Logan started in 2011... Are you saying there's more than one Logan Thomas? And This one wouldn't start over 2011 Logan?

Two tight end sets with Knowles and Byrn/Stanford on the outside and Trey in the backfield? Defenses won't know what to do. Two capable flankers- one speedy and the other a great route runner with some wheels, two athletic tight ends who are decent blockers, a pretty good o-line and a potential all-ACC running back? They won't know where the threat is coming from.

That's how it was in 2007 against BC. We gave Matt Ryan hell in that huddle. They must've had 15 false start penalties. But the dropoff in the yelling on between plays/during huddle is nationwide. Not just at VT. I guess people are just getting lazy.

" It could grip it by the husk!"

Considering last time we were ranked was before last year's Pitt game, yeah I'll take whatever we can get.

But yes, just keep winning. Two very winnable games before a potential top 10-15 ( depending on how the bcs chips fall) matchup against Miami. Just please don't stumble against Duke or BC. Please God, don't fucking do it.

I'll take #20, heck, I'll take #25 if it keeps our guys hungry and feeling like making another team pay the price for the disrespect.

I think the offensive line gets a free pass until we drop another game. The rushing attack will come around, although maybe not this year. I don't care if the rushing game improves at all this year as long as they're winning.
