That was my concern. Kyle was beaten again in a late game situation (this time with a big lead) by a double move. See Marshall, see Cincy 2011. It can't keep happening or it will burn us.
Did anyone else notice that half of Wang's snaps out of the shotgun lacked the necessary zip? It seemed like the timing of the play was off as a result, and the d-line was getting an extra step on our backfield because of the delay in executing the read/exchange.
I would like to see the reaction of other teams watching that in film review.
And worst thing we could do as a fan base is to not appreciate what this team has done so far this year after losing like 18 players from last year ( due to various reasons). This team has character - if we do not embrace them, shame on us. I will take the W. Would like to see some true dominance all around; but I can wait for that, as long as there is earnest effort all around.
Worst thing this team could do right now is to feel comfortable and complacent in their preparation and execution vs Duke and BC. They are both good teams, with lots of fight in them. And we have a history of dogfights with them even when they had down years recently.
Amen to that. One more point - we have a freshman at fullback and another true freshman at TE. Really do not have a reliable second TE. If these three positions were veterans, I believe Loeffler might be going for some power runs.
It will, but every poll except one of the six computer polls is out. So it's pretty easy to make a guess at what it will look like.
This has been explained many times, most recently here: http://www.thekeyplay.com/content/2013/october/6/help-embedding-pics-etc.
I agree around 20, I will be pleasantly surprised if we crack 20. But if the right teams lose, we may be in the teens by the end of next week even with the bye.
I'll take Jason Worilds and Josh Morgan over Gayle and (gulp) Danny Coale. At TE I'm taking Greg Boone just because I want to run the Wild Turkey. Also, if Bucky Hodges ends up at TE, can we please start running the Wild Turkey again?
On CBS, it says that the BCS Standings will be released next week.
Given his propensity for also running sloppy and lazy routes, he should have destroyed that mark effortlessly.
I had Worilds in, but changed my mind.
Same with Vinnie Burns. I'm amazed he didn't go pro.
The BCS computers actually love us. 5 of the 6 are out and as of last week they had us around 20th. So I wouldn't be surprised if we keep moving up to top 15 if we can win our next two.
Hope you are right - that we get the running game going - like a fast horse jumping off of a treadmill and knocking down the door.
I'm reminded of the line from The Godfather "its not personal, its business"
For the rest of the teams they play its business just a win over a poorly coached team. For us its personal- commupance for the smug nose in the air attitude of most everyone you know who went there. The time cop's antics are just added entertainment.
Actually, I rather thought it was.
We had the ball at midfield. An easy punt from there to try and pin it into the 5. Make them move 95 yards.
PITT had 3 timeouts left. Run the ball 3 times and make them use all their TO.
Maybe we get a 1st. If not, they get a really long field and no timeouts and need 2 TDs to win.
With a defense leading the country in INT? Not likely.
It wasn't pretty but, they were playing for the win.
Pretty sure it's the chop you do when singing mr. Roboto and/or everybody was Kung fu fighting. Pretty sure /sarcastic
Comon. Respectful disagreement is one thing, but distasteful, sarcastic comments made in direct response to someone's valid opinion is... Well it's uncool. That's what community moderation is for. Down vote
I think they also are highlighting that you can get the, bone jarring knock the ball loses hit, without having the helmet as a weapon.

Long Snapper - Don't care that he was pre ACC, Shane Beamer's the only long snapper for me
The other teams combined wouldn't gather the same satisfaction as we would all by ourselves.
They simply don't have the same quality of hate as we do.
We have a lunch pail quality of hate that no other team could possibly carry as comfortably as we do.
Dunno karaoke chop sounds pretty fun to me
Their OL is going to hurt whoever they put back there. Hope Savage survives the season
