I think the lesson is scheduling Furman and not JMU

Haha, for the Marshall game, we did Tailgate brunch. French toast, bacon, sausages and tequila sunrises.

yes and no. I think they learned their lesson but with the ACC schedule set in stone, and the OOC games set--drawing in a high caliber team like tOSU requires some compromise. The only thing they could have done was put it on Saturday instead of Monday. But Monday draws the big bucks..

When I first read the story, I thought we were going to play ECU on short rest and I almost flipped out.

I completely agree. Before TKP I was going to ESPN and Hokiesports. I haven't been on either site in a LONG time. I love TKP. Thanks for all you guys do!

I will be taking time off on Tuesday for it. Lane will be electrifying that night and I'm not going to miss that.

I 100% believe the quality of our work is better than any other VT website, paid or otherwise. Glad you found us. Perhaps we need a TKP tell-a-friend day.

I didn't even know about TKP until a few weeks ago when my Hokie co-worker was like "You have to check this out!" and showed me an article on TKP that was pretty amazing.

I've been hooked ever since. I can't believe I was going to ESPN for Hokie News for so long...TSL is nice, but I don't like paying for stuff, and GobblerCountry doesn't update frequently enough.

Love TKP

Um, Yup.

At least, AT LEAST, the tOSU game is at home, so we won't be traveling for it...
(Maybe we could do to them what was done to us...give them a loss then send them home to stumble against youngstown state or directional michigan.)

So the whole "We learned our lesson and will never do that again." thing was just an outright fucking lie. Lovely.

Exum is a contender. He also is a team player, and definitely doesn't want to be a liability in coverage. I'm certain he'll be set to go for Duke, as planned. Then opponents will find out again why he was such a terror.

Ohio St Mon 9/7
Furman Sat 9/12
@ECU Sat 9/19

Sorry horse, hopefully it clears up later this weekend, in other news for those of you in town reading this the women's soccer team takes on #1 notre dame tonight so go show em a little love

He owns several of the NASCAR tracks.........so money isnt an concern with this guy. He offered $20 million to both of these teams 5 or 6 years ago to try to make this happen. Of course UT wouldnt give up a home game to play us. Maybe they were just scared!!! lol

Just please...for the love of all that is Hokie...DO NOT SCHEDULE A GAME THE FOLLOWING SATURDAY. I don't care if it's the lowest rated team in all of FCS.

I agree that the ACC is the place to be. I don't have a link to the article, but I remember reading that the ACC was the most profitable conference until the early 2000's. Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think the SEC is even the most profitable conference right now; I think it's the Big 10...

No doubt football is the biggest revenue source, but the ACC offers the most sports and attracts viewers from some of the largest metropolitan areas in the nation (or at least the east coast). I do think that one day the ACC will return as the most profitable athletic conference.

So, back to your comment re VT4SEC, I agree that we should stay. I've said it many times, but if FSU, UM, VT and Clemson can all play competitive football in the same season, the pollsters will view the ACC as a top 3 conference.
