I didn't even try to read the responses. The original message was a travesty of a post. It started off decently enough, with minor errors, and then just trailed off into the ramblings of an idiot.

I don't know what was worse: trying to read the original message or the responses. It was a good gesture (I guess), but it just hurt my head trying to read all that nonsense. UVA to SEC made me chuckle though.

If people aren't on Tech campus tonight they are doing it wrong. Men's soccer vs #2 ND. Women's Volleyball is playing at the same time against BC and has an autograph session before the match. Men's basketball has an open practice and open scrimmage that will bookend the volleyball stuff.
Plenty of action tonight as well as Sunday, Women's soccer kicks off at noon and volleyball will be playing Syracuse at 1.
Yeah, tonight will be against #2 ND for mens and sunday will be a 9 vs 10 matchup for the womens. ACC is pretty solid in soccer and should be a great game for both teams.

Did the Christmas lights thing one year when the kids were little and we were at my parents house for Christmas. This was back before the rumors of a football game were floated (2003-ish, maybe?). It was pretty cool, especially driving around the track. The impressions that it left with me is: 1. Those turns are a lot steeper than they look on tv!, 2.Wow, the stadium is impressive! I bet you could have a football game here!. 3. Why do I have to stay under 20 mph?? (of course, I was in a mini-van, and I don't think it would have done very well in the turns at speed)

I always went to yahoo for previews and stuff like that. Some friends would occasionally link something like the mascot mock. Eventually I just started coming here for everything Hokie related, especially since everything I read on yahoo is now behind paywalls thanks it basically just being linked stuff from rivals.

While football is always the main draw for revenue, I like having a competitive league for all sports. Just look at women's soccer this year, Tech is ranked #10 in the country and is only the 5th best team in the ACC according to RPI and Coaches poll. 8 ACC teams are in the top 25. Men's soccer has 6 ACC teams in the top 25 and Tech is finally headed in the right direction.
well I think you could still get the best of both worlds. Eliminate the permanent cross overs and keep the 2 team rotation that we had in the old format. Keeps the big boys mostly protected and sets up the intrigue for the ACCCG but you still get a chance to see a team from the other division more than once every 8 years.
That comes with a larger conference...and allows for a marquee game in the ACCCG. Otherwise, the big boys are just knocking each other off before the beginning of December.

It's going to be very interesting to see how Pitt plays defense on our first offensive series. Will they load the box to stop the run like most of our opponents have done this year (and paid the price), or will they play a more balanced defense and allow the Tech rushing offense to get untracked?
On the other side of the ball, how do we intend to deal with their very good DT, Aaron Donald? Do we run straight at him or do we run away from him? Do we use his natural aggressiveness against him by running trap plays of some sort? That will be a critical game within the game.
Anticipation for this game is killing me! I want two things very much - revenge for last year's beat-down, and another victory over a Coastal Division opponent.
Don't ever remember it happening at a VT game
It's happened at every game this year. I find it very annoying. Also, I can't stand when guys don't take off their hat, especially the ones who are too important for the National Anthem that they must race to their seats while everyone else is being still. Happens in Lane and Cassell.

I would suggest a different strategy. It appears as though 8 will make it to the playoff rounds. I say take down those in front of us to ensure we make it in. Red Raider is tied with Hokie Bird, but is in trouble with Toledo Rocket (48-52). Take down Raider and we move up a notch. Vote for Toledo Rocket.
I'm going to take this opportunity to go on a short rant.
I hate the way they have set up the ACC schedule and I really don't like that it's "set in stone"
it really bothers me that kids will go to school for 4 (or 5 or 6) years and potentially never have the opportunity to watch VT play a regular season game against some of the best teams in the conference (Clemson, FSU, Louisville)
that is just outrageous. I don't know what was going on behind closed doors to make this schedule but it's absurd!!
