I would love to go and troll the Sabre more, but cripes that is such a headache to even look at the terrible format

The only silver lining here is this kid has AD genes in him which means he is a tough little tike. I hope he can pull through this.

Stories like this are sickening. Domestic violence against a significant other is bad enough, but to take that out on a 2-year old, is just horrendous. My thoughts and prayers are with that entire family.

Just disgusting. As a (relatively) new father, with a 20 month old daughter and a son coming in a few months, when I read stories like this it just kills me. Not that it didn't before, but now with my own I just can not even imagine how much of an awful piece of garbage you would have to be to do this to a child.

so now the mission is talking my parents to letting me stay for one more semester...

I think it brings a national spotlight game to the ACC every year.

It used to be that Thursday night was equivalent to Monday Night Football in the NFL. Then, the NFL decided to start doing a Thursday night game every week and I think that has taken away from Thursday night football games.

When we had a Thursday night game, every football fan watched. It was great PR for the school and the ACC and Big East, when we were there. Now, only college football fans watch those games most weeks, most general football fans, I think, choose to watch NFL over college when they can. The NFL game at least dims the spotlight on the college games.

The Labor day games are usually very good match ups, and the NFL isn't in the regular season yet, so pretty much all football fans watch that game. I love it. I know it's tough on those of us who have to work but it's so worth it.

Already have told several Hokie friends, TKP is the best site for Hokie football news, analysis and commentary, bar none. (And we do a good job of filtering out the trolls, though I kind of miss Mama Girafffe).

"Wear your Horse on a Treadmill shirt to work day. Sponsored by TKP."

EDIT: Also, Joe, you and your team do an outstanding job with this site. I don't think we could ever thank you enough for what you have given to the Hokie community. This is like an online home to all of us and it makes my day a little better just coming on here. Seriously, thank you. And thank you to all you great Hokies (and even some non-Hokies) that add to everything the staff does. This is a great site and I recommend it to everyone I know who enjoys Hokie football.

The problem is you have 6 schools in there. It is hard to wrangle 6 x 20 million = 180 million from those schools to warrant the pay out.

Huh.

6 x 20 million = 120 million.......

I would hate to be on AP's shitlist, we've all seen the things he does to defenders. Just imagine what he'd do to this guy. In all seriousness though, this is really sad and disgusting. I hope AP doesn't try to take the law into his own hands and ruin his career. Best wishes to little Peterson and AP & family.

I really think we should sing it. I think it would add a lot to the atmosphere after scoring. Not to mention, we have an original song that goes with ours, unlike some other schools....*cough* UVA *cough*. I can't even sing that song on New Years.

I have NO respect for anyone that could lay a hand on an innocent child. This is just terrible. Bless that childs heart...hope he pulls though. This makes me feel sick to my stomach.

AD has been a favorite player of mine since he was a freshman at Oklahoma. His running style is so pure and aggressive and it immediately endeared itself to me.

As for the incident itself, unbelievable. Above all, I hope his son gets healthy. Reading that a two-year-old suffered "severe head injuries" makes me cringe.

If I lived within 30-60 minutes of VT, I'd be all over those games. Alas, that's too far for me to travel, and too much money in gas. I will, however, be cheering all the teams on in spirit, and keeping track of things on some Gamecast type thing.

I believe the "Oh" started with the Orioles, but has sort of become the thing for Baltimore teams. If I recall, it's done pretty loudly at Ravens games. Such that fans of any of the Baltimore sports teams tend to do it with whatever game which they attend.

I dislike it because it takes something that's supposed to be paying tribute to the country and instead making it a tribute to a particular team. However, I can see why we hear it at VT games and many other games due to the fact that we share a fan-base with Ravens/Redskins/Orioles.
