Yep, as much as I like our future QB prospects, Im gonna miss the hell out LT3 after this season is over.....
My wife washed one once and I couldn't wear it anymore. The temporary cleanliness of the hat is not worth the risk of it shrinking or just not "wearing" the same.
No idea how it started, but I can't wear anything that I purchased when we play. It was tough at first, having to find things that had been given to me or borrow/steal from my roommates, but I did it for the team. It works out pretty well now though, because my wife has seen the power this tradition holds and will randomly buy me orange and maroon clothes since I can't anymore.
Thanks, Bill - I always look for your take after each game!
Well done!
Same. I wear a hat until it's done worn out. A baseball hat/cap is like a tea mug to the British. You don't wash it, EVER. Only rain, rivers and lakes are acceptable forms of washing. Once it's washed properly its ruined and you should just start over with a new one.

It's gotten more and more intense with each passing home game. The pooring/mixing is an event in itself.
They taste a little like Miller Light I think. It's actually pretty good. Thanks for the idea!
Lefty's said many times he's not set on passing or running; he'll do whatever we need to do to win.
My guess is next couple years, (when we have experienced backs but inexperienced QBs) we'll wind up running the ball a lot. When Edmonds and JCC leave, and we bucky/ford have two years under their belt, we'll be more pass happy. Of course, not only is this all speculation, but the equation is not that simple, there are other things that must be factored in.

I get unnaturally sweaty thanks to some SWEET familial genes so I pretty much have to throw hats and shoes into the washing machine every now and then unless I want to smell like Brandon Gore's jock strap all the time
A few of those we missed on because we already had Tyrod in the fold. No premiere QB wants to come in behind someone who still has multiple years left and is obviously the starter. We did start to miss out towards the end of Tyrod's career (thus Logan to QB, as you say), but some of those we missed out on: Kevin Newsome - Penn State, no longer there and no longer playing football, I believe. Lafonte Thourogood - Vanderbilt, moved to RB after being like, 5th string QB, then transferred to JMU. So, it's not like even if we had 'hit' on those, we would have had a great solution. It just is sometimes, I guess. I like where our QB recruiting is going with Loeffler though!
I usually pick one shirt at the beginning of the season that I will wear for every game. Last year though, I realized that I had so many VT shirts that maybe I should wear a different one for every game. Well, you can see how that worked out. This year though, after a minor setback in my #BeatBama shirt, I am proud to say that the horse on the treadmill shirt is undefeated.
Louisville
VT
Oklahoma
Florida
Oregon
A&M
True Hokie right there.
I hereby dub Chubby White UNC Guy in the video above,
"Fatty Tar-buckle"
A record that will be his and VT's for the ages, considering the Big East is now defunct.
Bill. Some day you should do a composite captioned "The Four Flying Fullers"
Like most people on here each season I pick a Tech shirt to wear on gameday for that season; once we lose that shirt is banned from the rotation forever if we win that shirt continues to get worn.
Start each half with a shot of Jim Beam.
Seriously though, Hoke Football pwns wedding showers.
See I like that scenario
I think one of the other blog posts shows where things seem to be with running and what the line is doing. It doesn't seem, sometimes, that the line is doing well for rushing, but much like the passing game, if the RB doesn't see the hole, or is slow in getting to it, it's not going to work out.
While at the game against UNC on Saturday, I noticed at least 5 times where there was a huge hole opened up, or opening up to one side of the line where the RB went the opposite direction. One or two plays that could have been huge have just had a defender playing VERY well where they just get enough on the RB to make him fall down where a huge run would have been wonderful.
There were a couple passing plays too, that could have been larger in YAC if the receiver read the blocks better. One I can think of in particular, the play was sealed to the inside leaving running room on the outside, but the receiver went inside where the defender was able to break the block and get him.
So, it's been a bit rough, but, someone's going to "get it" sooner or later, and just amaze.

And weddings, and baby showers, and giving birth, and funerals...wait what? Unfortunately I have a wedding to go to Saturday, but that's what the WatchESPN app is for. True story though, a friend was giving birth during the Nebraska game and in between the screaming and the pushing, she asked "DID WE GET THE 2-POINT CONVERSION?!"
Edit: Regarding the wedding I'm going to Saturday, I'm thinking I'll have to wear a dark dress shirt so I can wear a VT shirt underneath it. Also, I'll be bringing my flask and will probably have to step out of the church to do my lucky shot before kickoff. Stupid 11:00 AM weddings and noon kickoffs...
