Bitter commented that Caleb looked good in practice this week .... "Velcro hands" or something like that.

Beer I'm going to go with is a Sam Adams "new world"golden triple. If you haven't had it it's delicious. 10% abv.

I wear specific shirts. If we lost while I was wearing a certain shirt, I won't wear it again unless we're playing a cupcake team to reverse the bad juju it carries. For example: I wore an orange vintage logo tee to the ECU game in Greenville in 2011. We won, so I wore it this year for the same game. I wore my Stick It In shirt to the GT away game in 2009. We lost, so I don't wear it on gamedays.

Your hat comment reminded me of my friend's VT hat. He first wore it to the '07 BC game, then to a few more over the next 2 years. Every time he wore it, we lost. We finally caught on to the pattern and he has not worn the hat on game day since.

Superstitions have changed over the years. Before and just after transferring to Tech in 2010 I thought I was the bad luck charm at our games. BC '07. UNC '09. Boise and JMU '10. Dk what changed after that, but the trend seemed to be the more I drank before each game the better we did in 2010 (blacked out ACCCG). Then 2011 was shotgunning a beer to start every gameday.

However, last season I was back home and went out to the bars to watch the games. That was miserable. So now I'm just staying home and have actually resorted to Bulleit for GT and UNC myself. It may sound like I'm lonely, but we're winning so I'm happy.

Have we seen or heard enough to say that if defenses "figure it out" and the scheme becomes ineffective (say a course of two or three games, or seasons - like special teams), is Loeffler willing or able to make large scale changes (like Bud Foster)? Or will we become stuck in the new identity? Too soon to look the gift HOAT in the mouth?

It's nice to take trips in the "off" season (if you can) to avoid all the summer commotion and maybe get a few deals. I remember having days off work in the spring in Charleston and being able to hit the beach at 10 am on a Thursday...talk about completely different atmosphere with school still in session.

Living outside of America I have to watch games either at midnight, 3:30 am or 8 am. I know everyone complains about noon games but that's midnight for me and not too bad. 3:30 am games are the killers. (And no, I am not the "sources" Weaver refers to when he says fans want to watch noon games and no Thursday nights.)

But since I am watching America's pastime I prefer to keep things 'Murica. For some reason people import Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Aged Ale to Shanghai:

It blends beer and bourbon and I am sold.

I have found that if I wear anything Hokie during the game we either lose or play really difficult games. (only seems to apply to watching from China) So I wear Hokie gear only up to game time and then switch it out. Then I give praise to the almighty Phreak, enjoy the game and hope the stream doesn't buffer too much.

Somehow I suspected socks were to blame for last year's suck-a-thon. And now we've found the culprit.

In general, HD posts are getting old, but this was hilarious. Well done sir

Better than that guy from ECU?

Beer: I'll be trying my Belgian Blond Ale and Hefeweizen. I just recently bottled both.
Belgian Blond comes in at 8.8% ABV. Surprisingly intense banana aroma and is very very sweet. Hefe is around 5.3% with mild banana and clove and a wheat character.

I have to take 2 shots of Wild Turkey before the game. If I don't we play bad or we lose.
I also don't let anyone talk about our kickers around us ever. Even for PATs. Been doing this for years. The misses have been because my jerk friends ignore me.

Bojangles in Dublin on the way to every home game.

Same thing. It was a good joke among the students when I worked. But my friends don't find it all that entertaining. I have to hold in the laughter every time someone says it.

I was in the stands for what I think was Brian Randall's first game, a beat down of UConn where he played the 4th quarter. He was awful.
By the end of his senior year he was outplaying Jason Campbell in the Sugar Bowl. Randall still holds the record for most passing yards in the Big East. What a competitor!

Where's the Cartman/SP gif of "Yes. Yes. I can taste your tears"??

WKU, Akron, Buffalo, really the MAC & Sunbelt en masse have been gracing the Bottom 10 consistently when I remember to look at it (honestly, it's been a while since I've been on ESPN for anything beyond ESPN 3 games and score checking)

I remember the Super Bowl commercial that starred her. Let's just say Diet Pepsi never looked so good...

Well we all know where the brainwashing originated. These guys think they are going to go into C'ville and create this "dynasty" off of 4 or 5 highly ranked players..they aren't seeing the big picture that it takes 30-40 good players to make a team great. Will they make an impact? I'm sure, but this isn't basketball, you can't ride the coat tail of 2 extremely good players and expect to be unbeatable.
