Exum was going pretty hard this morning by himself on the practice field. He is definitely testing that knee to the fullest to make sure he is a 100% go.
Don't forget revenge against UVA for what they've done to the fine name of Football.
Louisville; This will be the most anticlimactic regular season provided they don't sleep through a game and choke
Virginia Tech; I think it's safe to say we like our noon games. sigh.
Oklahoma; The hot seat starts warming back up
Florida; From what I've learned with my picks is, I'll never get the SEC right. So coin flip it is.
Oregon; Quack attack on high alert.
Texas A&M; Ole Miss, you've burned me twice. I'll take Johnny Cashball is this one.
Beer: Some Yuengling pints after I finish taking down the basketball goals since JJ decided it would be fun to have an intrasquad scrimmage after the volleyball match on friday night.
Not sure whether to award turkey leg for excellent gameday tradition or downvote for sacrilege.... I have to agree with the UNC fan here. Very funny.
It all started in 2010 when we were 0-2, and I was at the ECU game and we were down 10 at halftime, on our way to 0-3. It was hot as balls outside that day, so midway through the third quarter, still down 10, I ventured out to concessions to grab a large Sprite. Shit you not, I got back to my seat and we scored on our next drive, then proceeded to come back and win.
After going to 2-2, I continued the tradition when I went to the NC State game in Raleigh, got my Sprite at halftime, and BOOM David Wilson returns the second half opening kickoff for a TD. It's all history from there, as the Sprite tradition continued all season long, and as you all know, we won every regular season game from then on out, including the ACCCG. Didn't get my Sprite during the Orange Bowl as I was en route to Snowshoe, and we know what happened in the second half there. My bad on that one, guys.
So needless to say I still buy myself a Sprite in the third quarter of every game.
I wore VT socks for every home game my first 3 years. Last year, I didn't pay as much attention while getting dressed on gamedays, and occasionally wore black socks. Every time I did, we lost. The black socks are now banned from Lane.
Also, I refuse to wear any effect shirt (maroon, orange, white out) before the day of that effect game.
Oh, and of course I always wear my VT hat, although for Orange effect I may switch it out for a large, orange foam cowboy hat.
Corrected
That sounds very expensive. Props for the commitment.

That is the missing piece of the puzzle. Forgot about that little gem. I remember paying that for football tickets now that I see that.
I know how the seating works, I was just saying for that price, you better get the good stuff.
^Also, that isn't an attack on you, I've just been around long enough to know how it works and also I'm the one that put redo the numbering in Cassell this summer so now everyone can find their seat. You're all welcome. Heat guns are boring, thank god for Pandora.
I get paid to go to the games since I work there, so I didn't really care. I was just wondering where the extra $15 was coming from, which as it was pointed out, I forgot about the processing fee. Which I should have remembered since I paid it when I bought student season tickets for football my extra semester.
And it terms of Cost/Benefit, I'd say $7 actually might be just (key word here) a dollar or two over which it nitpicking, but considering a lot of things like the talent on the court, the opponents, the atmosphere, food and whatever else it just isn't worth it to most people. Personally, I'd pay 10-15 at ODU when they were doing good; last years 5 win season, not so much. Same with our current team. When I was a freshmen, $10 a ticket was probably a good deal because you had the ever entertaining Greenberg and the likes of Delaney, Allen, T Bell, and you get the point. This year, considering I see practices and stuff, it will be fun to watch the freshmen grow, but from a W/L standpoint, probably will not be pretty. This same argument can be made for football as well, which it has in other forums. $50 a ticket is a lot when you factor in last year's record, buying multiple tickets, hotels and all that, but even lowering it $10 to $40 would probably bring in that fan that is teetering on whether to buy or not.
It's late and I don't even know if I make any sense at this point, but I was asking for a simple answer and was making a lighthearted poke about the team, didn't realize I was being ridiculous.
Edit: Also what he said above me.
Once we start winning, I don't change my socks. Needless to say, I was sporting a fresh linen aroma last season. This year? I'm loving my "smelf" and the Hokies as I go 5 weeks plus...if only I can get that rash to go away, darn-it.
Rutgers at Louisville -16.5 - Louisville
Pittsburgh at Virginia Tech -9.5 - I've got faith the Bud can stop 'em and the O can get up and stay up big.
Oklahoma -13.5 vs Texas - The old gray Mack, he ain't what he used to be...but Texas gets the points
Florida at LSU -7.5 - UF can stay w/in a TD of the Tigers
Oregon -13.5 at Washington - Oregon's gonna Duck up the W
Texas A&M -6.5 at Ole Miss - aTm by a mile
I try to make sure the Hoos lose. Just about every weekend they lose, VT wins.
I just go the games and that seems to work pretty well. Since I moved to Blacksburg last year, we are undefeated in games I have attended at Lane Stadium. You can thank the lottery ticket system for the Thursday night loss against FSU.
I wear one of my many Corps t-shirts and if there's a dog around, I will pet it for the duration of the game. You can thank a special Golden Retriever named Fergus for the 2011 whuppin' on Miami. He was happy getting #allthepets, I was happy for the victory. If we go somewhere to watch the game, I'll put on my #90 Jeff King jersey with the Corps shirt underneath.

I have to make pancakes for my roommates and I on gameday morning, otherwise we're skating on thin ice
wear a gray VT t-shirt, and try to drink beer that only comes in gold cans (highlife, Yuengling, natty boh)
Anyone that wants to be apart of the football program as bad as Stinespring has said he wants to be involved deserves a second chance.
Put on my Orange 2011 Logan Thomas jersey and yell at the television for 3.5-4 hours. Except this weekend I'll be back in Blacksburg for the game, so my undergrad traditions will probably resurface - beginning with shotgunning beer during the 6am shower (I love noon games).
Yeah I do. The Buckydozer, I like it.
very unusual to run the same exact run play six times in a row, I mean I know okie state has like 7 or 8 plays they run over and over again yadda yadda yadda, but still same formation same play is like showing your hand and just saying fudge it i do what i want

I will under no circumstances ever bet money when my teams are playing.
Also after the Pitt game last year, I never get breakfast from this place on gameday.
