Unfortunately (well....not really) I'll actually be at the game so I will be more concerned with getting home than posting on here. By the time I actually post anything on here Saturday I will have hopefully sobered up a bit.

During our game, I don't attempt to grade papers at all. It seems to make us drop passes.

I remember watching that game on television and I was in total awe of how bad of a beatdown Vick put on the Owls almost singlehandedly. It wasn't even close to a career game for him, but the dude put on a show.

It started with the Marshall game, but the wife and I have to do shots of Jack Honey at kickoff. Saturday we didn't watch the game until late, but we still did our shots and the team won. I also may or may not have a pair of gameday underwear...

I'll be excited to see the next drunken rampage of posts from you Skipper!

I'm actually on #TeamCake but given his lack of ability to watch the game live, poor fishing conditions, and he was STILL dedicated to doing the analysis, I put my sword down and could only muster this as a peace offering.

I'm totally shotgunning a beer in the shower on Saturday morning. Why didn't I think of this before?

I will never wear an effect shirt before the actual effect game, regardless if we win or lose. Usually if we lost a game, I won't wear whatever shirt I was wearing again until maybe the next season. Take for instance, I wore my Stick It In shirt for the game against Bama, that shirt has not been worn on another gameday so far will not be worn again this season. I do feel as if my maroon jersey (2008 or 2009?) has brought on some good luck. Wore it for both GT and UNC and we have rocked. It will definitely be worn the rest of the season or until we play poorly, whichever comes first.

A side note, if ya'll think fans are superstitious, I bet some players are even more so. I remember back in hs when I played softball; if I put one article of my uniform on out of order, I got undressed and put it on all over again.

Don't worry Loeffler will open up his bag of tricks and have something planned for this.

So far we're 0-1 when I wear my Horse on a Treadmill shirt, but 5-0 when I wear my gobble gobble bitches shirt. Love the horse shirt, but it's staying in the closet a little longer.

He does this at halftime of basketball games too. I must admit, it works though.

Because, if it goes correctly, it will be earned! In years past, there were 6-8 games that were "givens". Not this year.

I love this thread...most of mine have gone away since chasing two kids around tends to eat into your pre-game rituals, but, I have 3:

1) If I'm at the game in person I always wear camo pants or shorts and a jersey with the same shirt underneath.
2) When watching at home I switch jerseys if we aren't playing well. I wore my #11 (from the Adibi days) for the Bama game. Since we lost I switched to my #5 (from the Tyrod days) but after the ECU and Marshall games I went back to #11.
3) I drink the same beer for the duration of the game unless we are playing poorly in which case a switch is needed

Also, Dozer, your wife better not go to that wedding shower. And that couple better start loving to Hokies and camping out in your yard before the games.

I like this sense of urgency.

We had to beat GT. We had to beat UNC. We have to beat Pitt. (Not only for redemption but for our ACC Title hopes) Still have Duke, BC, Miami, Maryland, and UVA.

In the past years some of these games have been disregarded completely. This year I feel like it's different. Every week is a must win. Logan has something to prove for the NFL. The new coaching staff has something to prove. The inexperienced RBs and WRs have something to prove. The defense has its tradition and pride on the line. Frank is still trying to prove he has what it takes to compete at an elite level.

So far I love the feeling of this season. It has been ugly but this may turn out to be one of the most memorable I've ever witnessed.

Absolutely. By all accounts, Stiney is a great guy and an excellent recruiter - and judging by some of his comments since his stint as OC, able to take criticism in stride and make light of it. The situation he was thrust into just wasn't his forte, but thankfully Beamer knows what's best for this program. The new coaches have really impressed me so far and I think Stiney deserves a ton of credit for swallowing his pride to still be a part of the team.
