Is that the guy who shredded us last year? I remember Shell obviously gashing us all game. But every time they had a key 3rd down they threw it up to a tight end and we couldn't stop them. Even put Exum on him at one point and they had no problem.

Isn't Pitt's best tight end #82. Garner or Gardner something. He is a junior I think. IDK.

It's the scout team, so he probably simulates the size/speed of some opposing TE very well. I wouldn't read anything into the QB situation for next year, really until spring or even fall.

As much as I would feel bad for Bucky not playing QB, it would make sense because Ryan Malleck is leaving after next year. He has the size and athleticism of LT, and was meant to be the next big, mobile VT QB. On the other hand, Loeffler didn't recruit Bucky. He recruited Ford and that's the guy he wants to build his offense around.

FWIW, we beat them in 7's to get to the CRC. They then spent the next 4 months talking about how all they cared about was beating VT in 15's and didn't care about the rest of the league schedule. We went up there and won 57-12.

These developments in the passing game are very encouraging. Damn shame Malleck got hurt right before the opener. He'll be a weapon along with KC next season, for sure.

So, if Ford is lights out at QB, anyone think Hodges moves to TE- especially if his mechanics do not dramatically improve.

Cline is a t-Fr and we'll have Malleck back next year as well. While I certainly wouldn't mind getting a quality TE, we could be in worse shape at the position (agree we'd really want to get a highly regarded TE in 2015 if we weren't able to take one in 2014).

All fair points. I've come to realize that I just need to stop being personally offended when a kid chooses UVA over us. Turkey leg

Great quote from Logan today. This is the kind of stuff I want to see.

If only we could have them at home.. but instead... #goacc

I've been telling so many non-ACC people for the last year that the ACC is far and beyond better than the Big10 right now. The problem is that those programs have history, so a lot of people just automatically equate a great past with at least a decent team right now. I mean, if you work down the line of Big10 teams vs. ACC, the ACC teams are better. But the Big10 teams get the TV coverage and the nostalgia to have the perception of being better.

This comment needs to remain at 38-0, bro.

EDIT: Awww boo someone ruined it

I absolutely agree. I was more making a mock on how people either complain about the SEC or are upset we aren't in the SEC. From what I've gathered, SEC is football and football only. Which isn't a bad thing, but I enjoy being in the ACC where it is competitive in football, basketball, soccer, baseball, volleyball, wrestling, and I'm sure a couple others. Football will be a driving force since it is the revenue generator, but as a sports fan I enjoy them all equally.

wait a second before you poo-poo this savant....but....

manbearpig as short yardage back. I'm just saying....

I love DW and wish him much success but I just hate that this stuff goes on after scoring. Can't players just act like they've been there before and simply run back to the sidelines. I know, I know there's entertainment value, etc, etc but this stuff is the reason I simply do not watch much professional sports anymore! Probably going to get down voted for this but IDGAS just my opinion.

I skipped to the end fully expecting to read:

By now you realize I am speaking ironically and have nothing but great things to say about what you do.
