Fully agreed. I can't help but laugh out loud everytime I see this. But I try to explain it to people and they look at me like I'm an idiot. Which I can't disagree with, BUT IT'S STILL FREAKIN FUNNY

Malleck will be a R-Jr. next year. He will have two years of eligibility remaining after this season. I feel like he and Kline could form a nice 1-2 punch with Malleck playing as a true tight end and Kline more of an H-back type. I would not count out Bucky at QB or even TE at this point. Talented kid.

I honestly hope Loeffler is able to coach up Bucky into a standout QB.

"... play and when we do get to the ACCCG we will know we played the meanest, nastiest, smash mouth football around and we by god earned our way there with no apologies"

correct me if I'm wrong, but you just spent a lot of time saying that you don't expect us to be in the ACCCG and that we need to take one game at a time. (I completely agree with that sentiment)

but this last part contradicts everything you've said. "WHEN we DO get to the ACCCG"

implies that we are in fact going to get there....

just sayin'

As a fan of the Hokies and not an actual player: <-- Important element of this thread....

We have the defense to win every game left on our schedule. I think it comes down to Logan and the offense honestly. Our defense is the shit so we need the offense to just not suck and the special teams to not make costly mistakes, and we'll be good to go.

My only concern for the remainder of the season is miami (and somewhat our offense). I think we'll beat miami though, and probably struggle vs a sub par team but still win. I see us in Charlotte with a chance to knock the ACC out of the national championship. But again, I think we go how Logan and the offense goes.

well it's not too difficult for the SEC to win the National Championship when both teams playing for it are from the SEC

Also, not hard to win when a way overrated Ohio State team backs into the game by winning a pretty piss poor and waaay inflated big10 conference only to lose in two consecutive blowouts

Oh my God, the entry fee for a COKE is more expensive than admittance to their stadium.

It's interesting that she cited FSU's bowl win last year as an example of ACC teams being criticized for not winning convincingly enough against weak competition. FSU's biggest critic in the media after that win, by far, was Heather Dinich.

Pretty good read though, she makes some good points.

I started reading smartfootball before he moved over to smartfootball.com. Literally, at least half of everything I've learned about football has come from that site. If you scroll down on the right hand side, it'll say "blog archive" and you can read pretty much every article from that old site.

That Frank, he'll git after ya!

As I read and study these, I rediscover the advanced state of football ignorance jammed between my ears.

Can one of you fine gentleman point me at a few titles that provide an education from all angles that can help transform my skull from something that currently just performs as a place to hang my hair and move it towards an understanding of what is happening on the field?

5,339 career passing yards for 60 touchdowns and a 67 percent completion rate

*whistle* That is damned good.

As others said, I think it may be a move that helps Bucky getting on the field. He could line up next to Cline and the poor opposing DC would never know that Bucky is a legit pass-catcher weapon after having films on Cline. Of course, Bucky will have to learn everything about being a tight end, but with his athleticism and deceptive speed, I think it is a move that would pay off in the long run.

Turkey leg for owning your mistake. Boy, am I glad you were wrong.

Sorry, but I remain very peevish about the running game. While French may have said the line did their job, I am not seeing the push that we saw in Alabama where Edmunds and the linemen were pushing the pile. Granted, that may be attributed to injuries, Edmunds being beat up, and the scheme of opposing defenses hell-bent on stopping the run.

The other teams seem to be copying Bud Foster's strategy of stopping the run first and daring the team to pass, which Logan is doing with a high rate of success.

Switching to another topic, I really think that Bryn running the underneath route is money every time. He seem to find the first down marker every time he runs that route except one where he dropped it (and was pissed about it).

That play call where Loeffler called a pass from the Hokies' end zone was ballsy that paid off. I was expecting either a dive or a Logan Thomas' keeper, but that caught me off guard. I think it caught UNC off-guard as well.

Loeffler is clearly the better OC than Stinespring was, but I am still bummed about the 3rd quarter.

Uh...what?
