According to his Facebook profile, he's Vice President at Home Savings and Trust Mortgage
Thanks, and agreed. Good school, good program, dig the novel offensive approach. He might even be a nice man in real life, but I've considered pitching a beer bottle at my screen when he's on. Reasonably sure that would'nt hurt him nearly as much as me, however.
DAMN YOU, HD TV!!!
O YEAH!

The same problem?
Weaver is the AD at other schools too!?!
Last I heard he was working for a real estate company, but that was a couple years ago.
Nothing wrong at all. In fact, I hope SAM ROGERS takes a Hokie sized dump on CPJ's head just like Duke Nuke 'em.
Maybe the talk we heard this week about opening up the play book will actually happen????
Would love to see them get all three on the field with the inconsistency from the receiving corps. Not saying go to the triple option like GT but once in a while it wouldn't hurt, even to see an I formation toss sweep with Logan, Trey, and then either Mangus and Caleb at the top. It would mean that Sam Rogers would be out for these plays (I know, rain the sacrilege down on me) but I miss seeing Tech run power sweeps where any one could rip off 15 yards at a pop.
Using these plays would also stretch out the eight and nine guys in the box against us rather than trying to pile drive through them.
Awesome. Wish I could give that man a turkey leg.
My Keydet dad and I went to last year's Techmo Bowl, and as it turns out, we probably went to the best home game that season!
We're going to need to play our best football yet, to win tonight. The offense will really need to execute and do its part tonight. The defense will need to continue to play like a disruptive wrecking ball (against the Rambling Wreck, no less). FG situations will have to be avoided at all costs, but we must make them tonight if necessary.
Starting with a Coastal victory is huge. Giving GT their 3rd win in the division will likely seal things up for them. That just won't do!
LET'S GO, HOKIES!
I wonder what Glennon is actually up to these days besides this hilarious FB post.
Ok, I might hate him but that's friggin hilarious.
Did he stare at the picture for 10 seconds before making a decision to post?
So far I am not a fan of the read option. I think we have ran too many plays with it and because I have the same feeling that it is happening so damn slow, it looks predictable and definitely not explosive. Looking at GT and how they do read options compared to how Logan is doing it is night and day. It needs to be immediate and decisive.
right now I feel Lefty's read option is a replacement for O'Cainspring's screen pass. Both slow to develop, overplayed, predictable and yet to really work well.
Read a lot this week about Lefty working different portions of the playbook each game and not the whole playbook together, so I hope we see a more complete playbook this week and less read option. Especially on 4th and 1 from Shotgun.

"that dude rubs me the wrong way."
Sandusky?
Too soon?
Shane isn't alone in the decision on which RB to play. Lefty is the OC and Grimes is the Running Game Coordinator. Both of them will definitely help make the decision of who is playing where. But, and someone correct me if I am wrong, in game playing time is Shane's call.
In that, I too was impressed with what little I have seen from Caleb. I would like to see him in a more Reggie Bush/Percy Harvin type position with Trey pounding the rock. I know this was the intention with DJ Coles, but he looks too banged up and too slow to me. At this point I definitely would vote for Caleb over Coles for this type of role. JCC and Mangus should continue to be threats in space as they are being used now.
Wish they would use more of his design suggestions in the uniforms. Would be some of the best in the country if they did. Always sharp work.
Shock? I think with the way the offense played last year and has played this year that should have been expected. Hopefully that streak ends tonight though.
Gotcha - thanks for the clarification!
Welcome. I can get behind some unfiltered CPJ hate. Nothing but respect for the school and their program, but that dude rubs me the wrong way.
I think we are all hoping and believing that we haven't seen the whole offense yet because every game our offense has been different. Drastically different in some cases. Also the Marshall and ECU games did not matter at all once we lost to Bama. Remember the year we lost to Boise and JMU. We still made it to the Orange Bowl. All you have to do is when your in conference games. I believe that was and is our goal for this season since the beginning. Our first conference game may very well be our most difficult match up and we want as many advantages as we can and hopefully that means we surprise them with a complete offensive gameplay that hasn't been on film yet. It is a stretch but it is something very believable.

To me at least, Caleb still runs really tall. He needs to get his pads a bit lower and I think that will help him a lot
