Interesting thought. He certainly looks awkward under center, but if he ever wants to be a QB at the next level he better learn how to play from under center.
I'll be honest. At first I was very much against these helmets. I still think they're hideous. I think the concept has potential but I'm more than dissatisfied by the execution in this case. But it doesn't really matter what I think. As much as it bothers me, it matters what the younger players and recruits think. As long as the players are thrilled about them (and it seems like they are) that's a good sign. I don't care if I love 'em or hate 'em as long as the players/recruits like them...I'm okay with 'em.
Just a General question/ Statement: Maybe Loeffler is using the Pistol and Shotgun more this year because of Logan's size and Comfort with being a few steps behind center? Correct me if I am wrong but isnt it a little awkward for Logan being under center?

I love Coach Frank Beamer. What he has done for VT is incredible. I have a lot of respect for him making sweeping changes to his offensive staff in the off season because, let's be honest, we all know how much it hurt him to do that. He is a real stand up guy and he'll stick his neck out there for anybody who works for him. That can't be said for most coaches these days. I want so badly for Frank to fill that empty trophy case....but I'm not counting on that happening. I think there is a good chance that Frank Beamer will go down in history as the greatest coach to never win a National Title. I haven't wanted to be wrong about something more in my life, but that's my honest opinion. Some of Frank Beamers greatest qualities are also his greatest weakness. He cares a lot about his players and coaches, but sometimes he's just too nice. Cutthroat isn't a word I would ever associate with Frank Beamer. If you look at the coaches who have been winning Titles for the last decade+ one thing they all have in common is that killer instinct. I love CFB and I fully expect him to continue his time in Blacksburg for at least the next 5 years. He will leave on his own terms and it will be a classy bitter/sweet event. I hope that he has that coveted trophy when he leaves, but I will never think any less of him if he doesn't.

Chad Morris is the Chris Peterson to Dabo's Dan Hawkins. Dabo is smart enough to surround himself with good people and pay them well, but I think he's in trouble when Morris gets a look as an HC somewhere. I was surprised it didn't happen last year with all the openings in the SEC. There will be lots of jobs this Silly Season and someone is bound to want the latest all-that OC to fix a busted offense for premium bucks.

Scenario 1: Bud becomes head coach, defense struggles without his full attention, program declines, Bud is relieved.
Scenario 2, My favorite: Bude becomes head coach, defense is as good as usual with Gray taking over most roles. Team succeeds without missing a beat.
Scenario 3: We hire an outside coach, Foster leaves....

What made it even better was after church on Sunday, after listening to my Volunteer family grumble about their pitiful loss to Florida, mom talked about how great the VT game was and how loud and exciting it was to be there jumping to Enter Sandman and cheering. It was priceless.
Reminds me more of this. I know he doesn't score, but seeing that kicker try to "tackle" him is hilarious. He wanted no part of Connolly and probably was ecstatic when someone pushed him down.

Also is it just me, or did Logan have enough room to walk in on the OT touchdown if he had gone a yard to the right rather than diving from the 5? He might have tripped/slipped, but it looks to me like he tried to dive in unnecessarily.
Yeah, I can see how it would make sense. I know he played there (and was good) in 2011. Did they move him to Whip for the GT game last year too? Or did they keep him at corner?

My section almost erupted into a celebratory orgy when he scooped up that ball and started trucking for the end zone. We had all been talking about Fat Guy Touchdowns as the best thing ever earlier in the game. And for that game to end with Hopkins scoring would have just been perfect. That would have made my 2013 right there.
My perfect version would have been for Hopkins to turn around and block Marshall's RB into the turf and then keep on trucking for the TD.
