Gimme this guy when Frank retires. Somebody with Tech ties. Somebody with a little fire in his belly.

Yep.....just because we win ugly they see us as not being any good....
Its not accurate, but thats the way it is i guess.
GO HOKIES!!!

I'm very interested to see how this plays out in the coming days. I'm trying not to jump to conclusions before we get the full story, but I, like many, have not been a big Journell fan (as a person). I guess we'll just see what happens, but I think we all agree that we take pride in how clean Frank runs this ship.

If this week's buzzcap has that play for the caption contest, you win hands down

I really like what I'm seeing out of this team. All of tough-love practices before the season started will pay off in future games, just like it did against Marshall.

I agree totally!!! Im damn proud of this team!!
This is the first game ive missed this year....and honestly i feel bad that i missed it.
As far as hustle and grinding it out goes.....i think this was the best game...by far...that they have played this year....
I work in an ofc full of Vols fans.....(SEC biased at that). When i walked in this morning the first guy said "we thought u were gonna take a sick day today after that performance Saturday"...I said "s*it, that was by far the best game i saw all wknd."
I mean it. It may have looked horrendous to most ppl, but i dont care. We won.It was ugly. We're 3-1. I'll take that.
As long as we're improving, even if its slowly.....i'll take it!!!!
This team has earned my respect!! GO HOKIES!!!!

I just hate ESPN that's my motherf*cking problem.

Those fat fingers, they'll get after ya.

After being at this game on Saturday, I cannot imagine how Miami '11 must have felt. I brought my wife, my mother, and my brother. It was my wife and my mom's first game at Lane. When people started leaving at halftime, I thought to myself, what a first impression of our fanbase for their first game. By the end, the fans that were left with us in the north side of the west stands made me proud. When my mom and wife were screaming as loud as my brother and me, and everyone else got louder and louder as the rain got heavier and heavier, I got a little tear in my eye. (BTW my mother is in her mid fifties and she never once complained or thought of leaving the game early.) It was the most exciting game I have been to and was proud that they got to be there with me with the true fans that came to support our Hokies. Top a triple overtime win with a trip to The Homeplace and you've got yourself an unforgettable Saturday. State trooper gave me a speeding ticket on the way home near Saltville. But, WORTH IT EVERYTIME. I signed my ticket and told him Go Hokies! He smiled and said have a safe trip. Best trip to Blacksburg EVER.

This, plus it's something the 2012 team would not have been able to do. Heart was something that was severely lacking at times last season.
