I can't disagree with this. Since GT has opened up their passing game a bit this year, I'd like to see us able to leave Kendall and Facyson on islands and focus everyone else on defending the run. Might be uninformed on my part, though, as I'm sure there are probably plays where the CBs need to break off and make a play, but I'm most comfortable with people who have seen this offense before being put in positions to make split second decisions. Kyle will be good at Whip, has been before, and GT's offense isn't so big and strong that he can't play LB against them.

So the VT football twitter account is polling the fans for what uniform combo they'd like to see. I was scrolling through the responses, and the support for #AllMaroonEverything was overwhelming. It was basically unanimous.

This is why I don't look at them anymore. I'll use their GameCast for games for which I want live stats and I'll look at the schedule page because it tells me which network each game is on, but I bailed on their yellow journalism a long time ago. ESPN has found that their primary business is not covering sports in a nonpartisan way, it's making money. And when you discover that your whole enterprise should be geared toward making money, non-partisanship goes out the window (cough, cough, Longhorn Network, cough, hiring Urban Meyer for a year, cough, cough).

a sneak that rarely is stopped (another LT 'intangible')
Though the 4th&1 shotgun sneak was a bizarre and weak effort.

His Hokie Stone skull protects us all from his angry thoughts during a game

I actually don't mind this. As long as they wear maroon uniforms. I will accept nothing else.

The word on the street is that Sam Rogers himself was born made of Hokie Stone.

The word around town is that Sam Rogers' helmet will be made of actual Hokie stone.

Just because.

With the positioning of the flag on the back of the helmet- I am guessing there won't be a stripe after all? Maybe one that comes to a point.

Please, just no. These guys have to go into every game trusting one another and having each other's backs. As a result, they are probably going to back Cody regardless, but I don't want anything that could fracture that bond. The coaches have to be the disciplinarians because the players should be stick together.

No doubt. Sounds really throwback. I bet A.J. calls females "broads".

A.J., one day, will say to his wife..."One more word out of you Alice...POW! Right in the brain bucket."

That looks slick to me if you wear it with maroon unis.

It'll be the Hokie Stone helmets.

Edit: The article from hokiesports dot com (linked above) includes what I think is a pretty good quote from CFB about the helmets and what they symbolize. I normally try not to get caught up in the uniform drama, but for what it's worth, I like 'em.

Not a finished helmet, per the football account, so I'm hoping for something like this

As we've all heard from the NCAA promos, student-athletes are held to higher standards. The only problem is we weren't interpreting the higher part properly, as it literally means a higher number of failed drug tests.

If you're taking the Marta and walking, seriously don't go alone. Atlanta gets really sketchy a few blocks away from the Georgia Tech campus.

Sweet as in VT stickers that fall of half way through the game?

I think a stripe to cover the mesh point and the pylon logo is about the only thing they can do to improve them. A standard VT will do the trick as well, but then again, weaver is in on this isn't he?
