I recommend parking at Brookhaven, and doing the bar crawl myself. Plus, you need to go to the Varsity...especially if you've never been to Atlanta.
It's actually pretty genius on their part. Put something out so people click on it. Have another writer bash what the first one put out. More page clicks. As much as I dislike reading their stuff, they are pretty damn smart about marketing/getting clicks.
Yep. I still think we may deserve a little respect but we are really going to have to show it.
Going Al Davis here...
"Just win, baby."
Winning fixes everything.
Thanks ESPN videos are blocked here at work... =(
At least they got two of them right.
Photographer's lucky he caught him on a good day
Until he grows some balls and actually fights for the ball, we can't go deep.
There's really no way to go deep if you don't fight for the ball. Well, maybe there is...

Personally I prefer this. I've always felt this team plays better as the underdog. I think we get too cocky as a team when we are favored and everyone loves us. Being an underdog gave us Corey Moore murder eyes.
Also heard one of the announcers throw out "Vah Tech" right before a commercial break.
Whenever somebody refers to the Hokies as "Vah Tech", I could punch a 6 week-old baby right in the face.
There have been times where I feel like we don't get the credit we deserve. I just don't think now is one of them.
If we win this week, we change some perceptions.
During the last game here, I was in my parking spot at the YMCA at about 5pm for a similar Thursday night ESPN kickoff. Generally, parking lots open 3 hours prior to anything in town.
This.
This times a billion.
Put any top 25 team in the position we were in:
Late in the 4th quarter in miserable weather. An offense that hasn't been able to move all day long. You have to drive the field and score a TD to keep yourself alive in the game.
A lot of teams don't do that, they fold and lose. Not to mention all the hills we had to climb in OT. I have a lot of respect for that team after this week. That toughness we've been hearing about all offseason long is starting to show.
I agree, but I feel like even when Tech was a great program (still is but I am talking early to mid 2000's) we still were lacking respect. People kept picking against us and we kept winning. While I love that, I feel like some programs do decent and have all the respect in the world, of ESPN. I know Kirk doesn't usually pick for us, and usually has nothing nice to say about the Hokies. Maybe it's him?
Mark Schlabach is an idiot, and one of the main reasons that I don't espn.com anymore. Complete waste of time.
If the Hokies are overrated (which they're not) IT'S YOU GUYS DOING THE RATING!!!! Why would you waste my time by telling me that you suck at your job, basically?
Against WCU, both of Logan's picks were long balls to Demitri. Until he grows some balls and actually fights for the ball, we can't go deep.
If the Cowboys took a licking like the Giants just did, none of their fans would admit to actually being a Cowboys fan.
Beamer will go on his own terms. Sorry, but this guy built this program from nothing and has every right to be here no matter what happens. Actually I'm not sorry
Yeah that was exactly my question... No respect
here's a free turkey leg to get you past 666
Thanks for the turkey leg.
My wife is actually a bigger Tech football fan than me, and that's saying something. She drove 5 hrs to Blacksburg a few years ago just to get items signed by Beamer for Christmas, then gave most of the swag away as presents. My wife's dad called every Randall in the Williamsburg phone book one year until he caught up with Brian and his family, then went up there to meet Brian during his Christmas break. We some crazy Hokies.
I would be shocked if their WRs can get open against our secondary based on what I saw against UNC.
After looking at the highlights that phreak put up, it looked like Mangus was our best receiver. Maybe the coaches were on to something there.
I seemed to notice watching after watching the replay that Logan did not seem to even look at the check down receivers on 3rd downs until after the half. His first pick it looks like he had a RB and TE open about 2 yards shy of the first. Both appear open and an accurate throw may give them the opportunity to get the first. Instead, he throws to Byrn who is double covered and he gets picked, after a pretty nice drive. The second pick looks like he was maybe going for the running back but, BADLY over threw him. It the second half he starts looking at the underneath routes. Several throws are dropped, which does not help. However, he continues to do it, instead of forcing it. This seems to show itself on the 4th down where Stanford takes it to the 3. He catches it short of the first with a little space and makes a football play to get the first. I am not football film expert but, I saw this change as I watched the game play by play clips. I can only assume that this is something a coach, Loeffler, reminded him to do. I said waddling out of the stadium after the game if Tech starts converting third down plays this offense will at least make people feel like they are improving. Or we can just get everyone to read these articles on The Key Play to see that this is not last years offense.
I also never expected ACC Championship this year just to compete in most games, overall improvement, and to continue to build for the future. I will also say Leal is not the answer that many people think he is.

It's gotta be for the page views. I mean, think about it. They spout some worthless dribble about how a team that no one had any expectations for goes 3-1 and has like 3 votes in the polls and calls them overrated? Now all the Hokies click on the link and sit through their stupid 30 second ad to see if it's true. VT alone probably got them 20-30k views and god knows how many Michigan and USC got them, and those two deserved it.
