The "beginning design stages" gives me hope. I like the concept. Make it a bit more gray, maybe increase the contrast so that there's more of a shadowed effect to the stone, and slap a maroon VT on there and I'm pretty happy. I would have preferred a maroon helmet with the VT filled with Hokie Stone (or some type of stripe for an accent), but I think this could turn out alright.
One other interesting national ranking is special teams. I do believe VT has had the tougher schedule, but interesting to look at the rankings... and we are getting better!

I watched their game against Ohio last weekend, I didn't think Marshall's punt protection was very good. I know Ohio didn't bring the house on any, but it definitely looked like there are some holes there to attack.

There's so much that goes on off-the-field that makes everyone in the conference hate Texas. That's a big reason why they lost four teams.
I enjoyed seeing a couple screen plays work well last week. This could be successful again this week with an over aggressive front 4 and VT's improved execution of said play.

I was at UVa last weekend for a conference, and as I was driving out of town I noticed that one of the northernmost UVa buildings along Rte. 29 (basically one of the first buildings you would see coming into town) is called "Carruthers Hall." I had a hard time steering I was laughing so hard.

We beat the piss out of UVa in those unis. But, then again, we beat the piss out of UVa in a lot of different unis.

I'm pretty sure it's impossible to tie WVU unless they lose every game for the rest of the season and we win out.
I have a feeling we'll overtake Cuse this year, and maybe, hopefully tie the neers.
My guess is the GT or UNC game.
GT is on National Television & UNC will be a big recruiting weekend.
I would prefer UNC. Recruits eat this stuff up
