BTW, the person that "won" is the SGA Hokie Effect Director. So I'm saying that it was a fix and calling shenanigans.

Epic until you were rudely awaken by the overwhelming need to run to the crapper
The university raised more than $740 million in donations in the past fiscal year, the school announced on Tuesday.
Does that include or exclude the funds donated directly into Johnny Manziel's bank account?
It's a poster he made for Boyd that said "Tajh Boyd for Heisman." It's in the first or second paragraph.
Ladies can never dress up too much for a game. Men on the other hand...definitely can!
I agree on point one, not on point two...i thought north was full for wcu, we have to kick a ton of people out of our section, and the east student section was definitely full....now tons left super early, but the students definitely showed up for the start
Interesting. Maybe the times I saw it, the cop was just having a bad day. I seem to recall something from freshman orientation about it, or maybe times just change. I'll give you a big "AMEN" on the iPods/phones/tablets/whatever that people are always screwing with. You're going to be walking for 5 minutes - no one needs to be constantly communicating and possibly hit by a bus.

I remember ordering an XL Pokie Sticks and the delivery guy having to turn the box sideways to get it through the door. Epic late night snack time right there.
Incorrect. Bikes are allowed on sidewalks. The only exception is during times of "high pedestrian traffic" (such as when classes get out) at which point cyclists are supposed to walk their bikes. The problem really isn't cyclists as much as it is people with iPods in so they can't hear or that have their heads down texting while walking. It goes both ways.
*If you haven't made a "friend" just to use THEIR leftover flex balance on soda cans, monster bags of food...etc
Still? Never were. I even saw cops making people get off bikes and walk them to the road from time to time. Never stopped people from doing it, of course, but it was hilarious when the cops actually did something. Not quite as hilarious as when I saw a VT cop on a Segway pull over a car, though...
Duck Pond? You'll catch a carp or two... hit the New down off McCoy. Biggest smallies you'll ever see.
It's embarrassing enough they send out these emails to students, but just as bad is that you can go on the blacksburg group page on facebook and the majority of the post on there are students trying to sell their tickets.
And I completely agree on the "attracting a lot more people who are UVAish." I think the times are almost gone as far as students being able to make fun of UVA when most of them look like they wish they could have got in there. It's nice to see the university grow in size and prestige but you would think the same Virginia Tech mentality would still be there.
Admittedly, sometimes I dress up a little too much for games, but I'm telling you what- I'd have to be pulled and forced (not even then) to the leave the stadium before a game was over. You can tailgate or go sit in your dorm the other 365 days a year. C'mon students!
A. A. Ron Balakay is also from the substitute teacher sketch if you haven't seen it...
I was '08 oritentation too...I'm only feeling sad reading all of this. For some reason it hit me the hardest when I read the "chocolate milk from D2" line.
I guess the 1-2 year removed from Tech mark is when it hits the hardest...
I'm not going to say it's disgusting, but he does have a point about international students. Generally speaking, they do not care about football (because it's not played in many countries outside of the US) and even if they do manage to go to games, they are not loud and passionate because (again, generally speaking) they are grad students who haven't bled O&M for four years. It's hard to just come in and immediately care that much about a team. At the Thursday night game two years ago, I actually got bugged to move over about 5-10 feet by some international students. They literally sat the entire game. In north end zone. Yeah.
Like I said, I have no problem with international students because it't no coincidence that their growing presence at VT has parallelled our school's rise in academic prestige. I can understand where vat3ch is coming from, though.
Another one:
If you haven't spent your remaining flex plan balance on soda cases, monster bags of food, or taking friends out to eat at the end of Spring Semester before you lose what's left.
I will agree with you here apparently a ton of fraternities/sororities got seats in the north endzone this year and I have no idea how this happened but yeah a lot of them unfortunately leave at half time
Bikes? There weren't enough bikes to worry about them going the wrong way on the drill field when I was there.

Back in my day there was basically no construction going on and what was going on was tightly monitored. Not like these days. I think I need to take a trip back and grab some...
