So when I saw that you didn't win on the VT Athletics' fb page, I immediately commented "Welp, looks like BilldozerVT got hosed." I checked fb again a couple of hours later and they had deleted that comment. Those dicks.
I'm still not entirely convinced that would actually hold up if a team bolted to another conference. I can see it maybe holding for OOC games, but definitely not for conference play. At least not for more than one season.
I'm not a lawyer and know the exact specifics of the agreement so this is my two cents and worth even less than that.
Straight-up picks, as usual...

Florida

SEC probably wouldn't take them. They don't need anymore southeast TVs tuned into them. If anything they're going north to bust into that market.
FSU would gain nothing by going to the B12. Well, except the chance to bow before almighty Texas.
"It seemed like I was always on the scouts' back burner," he said. Boyd wanted to play at Virginia Tech and follow Vick, one of his idols. "It was like I wasn't the main recruiting priority."
The fact that there isn't a quote with Boyd saying anything about wanting to be at Tech pretty much gives it up that the writer was taking a few liberties. The paragraph reads like he was talking about us, but it's really just an almost irrelevant statement to try and make it like we ignored him.
That school in Gainesville would have something to say about that, though...
Yes but doesn't the media grant of rights now throw a wrench into any thought of movement, even if Maryland beats the exit fee?
FSU would go for SEC waaaaaaaay before Big12

247 article on 2015 Stonewall Jackson DT Tim Settle.
The highlights [don't sound promising for us, but there is still plenty of time]:
I dont really have a top five, Settle said. These are the schools who really stand out and are showing me the most love.
Here were his thoughts on several of those top choices:
* On Virginia I love the atmosphere there. I love it up there. It is also close. On a good day, you can get there in about an hour-and-a-half.
* On Michigan It was cool. DaShawn was on his official visit so they showed him some love. They showed me some love, too.
* On Alabama I love Alabama. Ive been there one time. The way they treated me there was great. I know if I went to Alabama, Id have to get down to business.
* On Oklahoma Im going to get out to Oklahoma. I have a coach who I grew up with. He just recently moved to Oklahoma. Im going to go out there and stay there for a week and check that school out.
* On Ohio State Ohio State, I like the school a lot. When I was up there for the camp, I did not get to see the whole campus. I did get to see the football facilities. I want to check out their campus.
* On North Carolina I love North Carolina. Every time I go up there, I love it. The first time I went up there, I didnt like it as well. It was a junior day and there wasnt that much individual attention. But North Carolina was my first offer, though.
* On Clemson -- There are a lot of things I like about Clemson. Their coaches are always checking on me to see how Im doing.
When is Maryland's lawsuit against the ACC expected to be settled? If Maryland wins, I think we will see a whole new round of conference expansion when FSU tries to bolt for the Big 12
Something's telling me that Loeffler might have Thomas in "give it unless it's blatantly obvious the defender has zero interest in respecting your run" mode. Like LT3 said in an interview this week, he didn't have many/any designed runs and there's really no point in him getting hit more than he needs to, especially this early in the season and against OOC opponents.
The read plays and inverted veers more come from the spread. They didn't do much of it, and when they did the DE crashed the dive and Logan gave it to him anyway.
I still think these basic zone runs from a pro formation are critical. Logan has a role to play there as well by running out his bootleg fakes on the stretch. At the same time, Loeffler has to call bootleg a few times for the defense to respect the threat. The Hokies didn't run a single boot against ECU after running bunches against the Catamounts. If Logan hits a couple of chunk gains either running or hitting a little pass in the flat, the outside pursuit slows down considerably.
He finished by showing them the poster.
I really want to know what is on the poster that Dabo carries around on recruiting trips.
True, they did save a lot of food wastage by getting rid of them.
I remember getting their Big Ass Pizza deal (I think that's what it was called) where you get a 24" pizza for something like $7. Maybe it was $10, but whatever it was, it was a cheap way to feed a lot of people. Pokie Sticks were a must as well. Those things had some sort of magical hangover medicine in them...
Except we couldn't capitalize on the curse....
EFF YOU MATT RYAAAAAANNNNNNNN
We can't have a repeat of this. Sam Rogers also needs to step up his intimidation factor.
IIRC, the year of the "curse of #2" also occurred in 2010. That was an entertaining year, and most of the reason why Auburn and Oregon were able to rise so high after being ranked so low to start the season.
RIP Pokie Sticks
1. Bees
2. Vols
3. Sparty
4. Sun Devils - going out on a limb, but Army kept it real close with Stanford through 3
5. Bayou Bengals
6. umm, Utah I guess
2007 was definitely a wild year.

Agree, I don't see FSU going anywhere.
