I got mine the summer of 2010. The cheap plastic broke from a 1 foot drop when it was in my backpack a couple years back. The battery life is at about 20 minutes (with the screen brightness all the way down and I'm just surfing the internet). There are times where my mouse just stops working. It's been a fun ride.

Are referring to the most recent times we have rushed the field? Those were embarrassing.

And you look both ways crossing the road around the drill field because of the bikes

French -- I remember in the Orange Bowl vs. Cincy we had a lot of success doing the zone-block scheme with Darren Evans, in which the FB (or maybe it was the TE) kicked back and took out the back-side pursuit DE. I don't remember us doing this that much (or at all) this year. Thoughts?

I remember my first time at the Homeplace...

Me: "So, you're just going to keep bringing fried chicken, vegetables and gravy to my table until I tell you to stop."

Hostess: "Yes."

Me: "Wow. Y'all in trouble now."

I am starting to question how hard you polytech but, i digress. The tickets are basically free anyway

This is bullshit. If I can wake my ass up at 6, sweat my balls off in wool uniforms, have to stay sober, and STILL stand and yell the whole time, then non-cadets can get off their dead asses, down some bourbon, and watch some goddamn football.

or with o'cains QB direction...he wouldn't even know what a progression is

If you've never rushed Worsham Field after a big win...

If you've never played a pick up game of "insert sport here" on the drill field as you were walking by...

If you've never gone to a girl's volleyball game...

If you've never taken a piece of Hokie Stone from a construction site on campus...

If you've looked both ways when crossing the road on the drill field...FRESHMAN!

If you've never changed the way you walk to and from class in order to walk through Slusher Beach...

Second this. I walked past him in a hallway in Jameson one summer when I was delivering packages on campus. I made eye contact with him for about two seconds and felt like I wanted to hide behind a water fountain.

firehouse pizza pick up at the barringer archway. yelling out down the dorm hallway that you are doing a pizza run, and getting everyone to go in on it. good times were had. Except for when they closed down our brand new kitchen in Miles during sophomore year, cause someone went in and smeared shit over EVERYTHING! literally. shit. all. over. everything. you. could. imagine. :(

And so what if they're giving away free tickets? It gives the people who are curious/marginally interested a reason to go.

If you leave Blacksburg without ever setting foot inside Mike's Grill.

If you've never taken Safe Ride from the Cage to your dorm on a 5-degree night while toting groceries.

If you don't know the BT routes by heart after one semester.

It was not just a bad season. It's a train wreck that a lot of people saw coming for years.

My freshman year was 2008. We lost to ECU in the season opener. Our first home game was Furman. We were down 3-0 at halftime. My first ever college football game. Three points. In 30 minutes of football. None of which were score by the Hokies. I think that team was just as hard to watch (if not harder) than last year's team. I'm still a fan, 5 years later, and intend to remain a fan for a while longer.

Before coming to Tech I hated college football. Now I love it more than any other televised sport. A school's athletic team, while seemingly insignificant, often serves as an extension of the community. Our football team is a symbol of the Virginia Tech/Blacksburg community, the same community where I spent some of the best years of my life. Like a previous poster said, this shouldn't be a chore for a students, but an opportunity to have fun supporting your school.

Agree, I don't see FSU going anywhere.

So when I saw that you didn't win on the VT Athletics' fb page, I immediately commented "Welp, looks like BilldozerVT got hosed." I checked fb again a couple of hours later and they had deleted that comment. Those dicks.
