this is against the spread. 3-3.
What's so bad about this? I thought I was pretty up to date with internet speak..
Not French but like you said, ECU had definitely not shown that at all before this game. We had our back-side DEs crashing down the line hard all game against the run because they had never used any designed QB keeps in the running game. On the long ECU keeper by Carden, they had a designed run to counter Gayle coming down the line. Even with Gayle taking himself out of that play, Fuller was in position to make a tackle for a short gain and took a bad angle and missed the tackle. Still a good design defensively against the type of QB and offense we are playing. We were essentially getting an extra defender against any give to the RB without having to bring in extra defender in the box. With Carden not being a good runner, we assumed our corners and safeties could react and limit any gains if he kept the ball.
Against teams with better running threats at QB, if they are a spread, zone read team we will have to have to play our safeties a little bit closer to the LOS and have our backside defensive ends be a lot more conservative and disciplined. Of course, if we are bringing a wide blitz from the play-side or the back-side, those responsibilities would change because we would also be slanting on the play and gap responsibilities would change.
I think what he's saying was "Marshall....they'll get after ya"
Exum was more impressive as a corner then as a safety IMO. Not convinced he'd be moved back to safety regardless of what the decision is.
This team is for real. ECU might be the best team theyve played, and Marshall might be a step ahead of them overall.

Wait...what?
That's exactly what I was thinking. His draft stock last year wasn't high enough for him to leave early. After an ACL injury I'm sure it has fallen a good amount. He's better off coming back and showing everyone that he's fine.
at least corners have a longer career span than most other positions in the NFL
There is an infinite number of case studies both for and against staying. I guess we'll just have to wait and see if this appeal turns out to be true. I would figure the staff and Exum would make that decision together. I don't know if that means he still thinks he has something to prove or an extra year would improve his stock... If I was him I would call it a day and go pro.
DONE ......AND.........DONE!

Exum could move back to safety next year if he stays. Now talk about a scary secondary if that happens. Facyson-Fuller-Exum-Jarrett. Bonner would get some snaps too.
Why would it be awesome for Exum? Dudes already got one degree, working on another. He will be healthy by the combine. Unless his recovery is way behind where we have been told, it would not be advisable to come back.
If you are an NFL prospect, your job is to get there as soon and as healthy as possible.
depends what his NFL stock is coming off a year lost to a serious knee injury...
You sure? I feel like teams would shy away from a guy coming off a major knee injury, hadn't played football in a year and was only really playing good football for the last half of the 2012 season. I think he could help his draft stock considerably by having a healthy, productive Super-RS-Senior season.
TJ Lang Mixtape
Exum would be better off going to the NFL than spending a 6th year in college.
I actually like this a lot. He's missed a bunch of practice time and we'll need depth on the DL in the next couple years.
Well, I just hope whatever happens with Exum, it's all for the best.
Interesting things from SOURCES
Sources: Virginia Tech DT Corey Marshall won't play at all this season. He will be with team but sit out the year and redshirt. #Hokies— Mike Barber (@RTD_MikeBarber) September 17, 2013
In addition, just realized Holland Fischer will hopefully be here next year to boost the defense!
I'm sorry for offending everyone. I'll try not to do that again.
I will say that I respect everyone's determination to keep this site classy..
that means something!!
i dont mean just hot chicks around campus, i mean employees of the athletic department who do that job. they tend to be attractive young women, not students though.
rly?

then you wouldn't be able to make comments and be snarky with team names.
