And remember - some of Bama's walk ons are three star players who could have made the first group on some other D-1 teams. So a lot of the "aw their O line is new" talk is not that valid.
Would love to see him used a lot this year.
Upvote for the mention of the bands. Agree wholeheartedly about our music selection though...the band director very rarely chooses music that appeals to masses. The whole point behind the halftime music was to celebrate Giuseppe Verdi's 200th birthday. Cool music...but let's be real - I can count on one hand the number of people in that stadium that cared.
Ninja edit: Made it clear I was talking about Verdi's 200th birthday...not the band director's haha
I'm an Al Hokie. Proud of both teams but when the two play I'm all Hokie. I am rooting for VT to win the ACC and Alabama to take the National championship. Go Hokies - Roll Tide
Corey was a redshirt senior before he contributed to the team in a really meaningful way and had Coale and Boykin to help him along (and as mentioned he was a Fuller). I remember his r-jr year, thinking that he probably wouldn't contribute much with Davis, Roberts and Coles ahead of him on the depth chart. I wouldn't count Knowles out yet, but at this point in his development is more suited to being a 3rd or 4th receiver. I just don't know that we have anyone other than Stanford that could push Knowles and Coles down the dpth chart...maybe Charlie Myer?
Good.
What, you've never spent hours listening to Giuseppe Verdi?
I think the players put their hearts into that game so I'm looking to see how the staff keeps them focused this week. And I want to see LOTS of passing to build the WRs confidence.... oh and special teams not wetting the bed, but I'm not to worried about that. Sounded like in the post game interview Frank is going to move some older guys on there.
Dude was a shoestring tackle away from possibly housing his first collegiate carry.
I personally think Sam Rogers' run was GLORIOUS. My son and I both screamed, "Hulk Smash!". We were right in the middle of the student section by Alabama's band, so you can imagine we got a few perplexed looks. But it was Rogers, and no F*ks were given.
Preach.
He really does deserve a Nobel Peace Prize for never strangling O'Cain or Stiney.
Keep disrespecting us ESPN.
Yeah, that's how I feel somewhat too.
This is just fantastic.
Agreed.
Deny Clemson their pussy touchdowns or bust!
Going off that, they're the guys split out wide on the punt team. They're pretty much lined up as a wide receiver. Their job is to be the first one down to tackle the return man.
Makes sense. Thanks!
Thank you. Thank you.

Good. Admittedly, one of my worries about losing to Alabama was where I would be able to watch future games.
Basically, they're the tackler that sprints after the opposing kick or punt returner. Think Alonzo Tweedy last year.

I read somewhere that Kyle Fuller straight-up volunteered to help on kick coverage.
