Parking is very limited -the dome utilizes a parking deck. There are self/honor-parks all over the place in/around Centennial Park but your tailgating will only happen if you've "convoyed" and set up... yesterday.
There will be plenty going on down there with all the commercial festivities, especially at the dome. The discerning -tailgater for pregame, to offer some advice, is rock a kid's wagon with a cooler mounted on top of it and your favorite tailgating "accoutrement" and then roam the sidewalks for Hokie camp(s). There will be few in comparison to Bama's crowd (derrr) but you'll find 'em. If anyone has some tactical plans in place on the site as to where they're looking to meet up, perhaps this post might be a good start...
And beware, Dragon Con is also downtown/taking place this weekend (http://www.dragoncon.org/) so, yeah.
Let's go...
I have faith that Officer Miller will lay down the law on the right side of the line.
Okay my bad. Carry on.
Had a pretty reliable source hint at it earlier after I mentioned it. I think it's on.
Welcome to TKP!
Fowler and Kornheiser give us a lot of love.
Awesome post!!!
I'd say it's valid considering gregory won't be dressing and this should be pretty well known to the equipment managers.
Saw that on the uniswag twitter. Not sure how much of it is true though since there was no release about it. We usually have the players number on the back of the helmet so I just thought they pulled out Gregory's helmet for the picture of it.
This - I have used MARTA for every game that I've attended in the Atlanta area. The convenience of the Georgia Dome station makes it a no-brainer. If all else fails you can park out at the airport and take the MARTA in from there.
Only tech coverage I've seen was what chance they were giving them to win (this was on CFB Daily on ESPNU) and they gave like a 4.5% chance.
From now on, any time anyone makes an argument that doesn't hold up, I'm going to simply respond with, "that's giraffe logic."
Devil's advocate: that's two TDs and two field.goals. So technically only two TDs.
In case anyone was wondering the 22 is for Tony Gregory. All players will have this sticker to honor him for his torn ACL that has ended his career.
worst case scenario just about realized as described above. Thanks for the info... anyone know any graffitti artists? GO HOKIES!
Park close to a Marta station and hop on that to the dome. Parking in Atlanta is terrible as is, no need to add 80,000 people walking around and change in traffic patterns
Was it the resources thay had that were bad or were they implementing a really bad system? My opinion is their evaluation of talent was good but they didn't place their resources in a position to succeed.
"This is what offensive line coaches live with: the notion that for every five simple circles drawn on a board, there are a nearly infinite number of possible threats looming out in the theoretical white space."

The loss of weight is gonna be annoying. 6'6" 260 just has a better ring to it.
Yet somehow he is poised to take over VT's all-time record in total offense. That puts him ahead of Tyrod, Randall, everyone else. If LT is mediocre at best, what does that make those guys? It seems to me that LT has succeeded in spite of the prior coaching staff. Imagine what he could have done with adequate training and decent play-calling. I'm not calling LT a savior, a hero, or whatever - but he has clearly emerged as a leader and someone our guys trust. He has all the physical traits necessary to succeed. Let's just hope Loeffler is as good as we think he is.
The Hokie Stone jerseys will be forged with the mythical stone interwoven into the fabric. Light as air, yet harder than tempered steel, the material neither tarnishes nor grows dim. It possesses the ability to absorb the energy of the opposing team and infuse it into Tech players.
This isn't a no-win situation, BUT if I had to choose between those two outcomes, I'd go with B.
Im going to predict that we will be wearing all maroon.
I think that's why everyone is quiet.
Put your money on it.

I'd prefer a close loss, but not like them making an 80-yard td on the last play to win. That would kill me. Of the options presented, I'd say the larger the margin, the worse it will feel. But even the LSU game back in, what, 2007, that one just got numb by halftime.
